Mods and Imported saves not working

I've had The Witcher 2 since launch, and with the enhanced edition out ans the fact that I haven't played it in 2 years, i decided to re-download it and give it another playthrough.

However, when importing my TW1 save file that has Raven armor in it, Geralt isn't wearing it at all. I also don't have my swords, it's just all default. Also, I used several mods back 2 years ago that worked fine. I reinstalled the 2 that I remembered: Zero weight and Return of the white wolf. While in game, Geralt does not have white hair, it's the default grey. I then reloaded an older save where I have a lot of stuff in my inventory to see if the other mod was working, and it's not, all the items all have weight. I checked, people are all using these mods with the Enhanced Edition, so why is it not working for me? I installed them the exact same way as before.

Am I missing something here? Does anyone have the slightest Idea of what the hell is going on? It's really pissing me off.

They should work, can you give the exact path of the mods and import? The usual reason is if they're in the wrong place.

Alternative reasons:
- for Raven, there is an option in the menus NOT to use the imported items. Make sure it isn't checked.
- do you have other mods installed too, that could be overriding it? For example, FCR2, which stops the imported items from appearing when you start the game.

I installed them the same as I did before, and exactly as the instructions said.

Zero Weight: x86>GOG>The Witcher 2>CookedPC>items
Here's the instructions: "Copy def_weights.xml to The Witcher 2\CookedPC\items\ directory. Maybe You need to create items folder."
It's just an xml edit. I also tried editing it myself to no avail.

White Wolf: x86>GOG>The Witcher 2>CookedPC>characters>player>model>head
Instructions: "Go to your The Witcher 2\cookedPC directory and drop the characters folder in there.
The complete path will be Witcher 2\CookedPC\characters\player\model\head\"

As you can see, the paths are correct. I did this same thing 2 years ago with no problems.

I also don't see this option to not use imported items, there's nothing like that in the menus. I took screenshots of all the game's menus for reference:

Here's the in game menus (5 images):

Here's the launcher menus (2 images):

Unless one of those things in the dlc checklist is it, I'm not seeing what you're talking about.

One last thing; I don't have FCR2. The only mods I have are the ones I listed.

Your images look OK. The menu I was thinking of was the DLC "enabled" settings in the launcher menu. And the paths appear to be correct. Maybe someone else will come along with ideas, but all I can think of, and I'm clutching at straws here, are:
- Is it definitely running from the GOG folder? There isn't another copy lying around anywhere is there? (Do a quick search for CookedPC on your PC to make sure)
- Something else interfering with it. If you can post a directory listing of CookedPC it would confirm.
As I said though, I'm clutching at straws here - it looks like you've already checked everything.

Well I feel like a moron. I dot all my i's and cross my t's but I forget to do one simple thing; open the file location for the Enhanced Edition exe just to check. Lo and behold I found my problem for the mods.

For some reason, 500mb of files from the old non-enhanced edition is still on my HDD (stuff like the launcher, cookedpc, bin), even though I uninstalled it. I was getting it mixed up and putting the files in there. The Enhanced Edition is not even in Program (x86) files, even though I swore that was the path when I installed it yesterday. I was half asleep when I did so who knows, lol. My imported items are appearing now too. There was probably some conflict with the left over files I suppose. Anyways thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it. Sometimes the solution is simpler than you think.

Glad that it's resolved, and enjoy your game :)
I think that they changed the default installation path with the EE version from Gog.
