Monowire gives XP in Street Bralwer?

So, the damage of monowire is increased by the Cool stat, which would lead one to believe that it's a stealth weapon. But whenever I use it I gain in street brawler. So does that mean it's counting as a blunt weapon? If so, that means the only viable build for monowire is one that spends focus on body?

This limits the effectiveness of monowire considerably. I almost never used it for my stealth/assault build, when frankly it should have come in very handy for stealth takedowns. It was practically useless.

The game "balance" is all over the place tbh, this game really needed other 2 years of development. But who knows, TW3 also was a poorly balanced game in terms of gameplay mechanics so maybe not even with further development this will be better.
