I'd still tap dat
Actually I think they look cooler in TW3. But that's just my opinion.
I guess they didn't choose such a design because it is not wraith/creepy enough.Actually, I prefer this kind of poludnica:

But, it's OK...I don't mind how she looks ingame...
Beautiful girl with a scythe in her hand, roaming the field in the middle of the day and trying to behead Geralt? Creepy enoughI guess they didn't choose such a design because it is not wraith/creepy enough.
I wanted to write the same. :thumbup:I think it would work really well if from a distance it looked like your image but as you get closer/engage it in combat it turns into what it looks like in the final game

Anyway, the new design of poludnica is not as frightening as before. Skeletons don't scare anybody.
Yeah but they visually reject you/turn you off, meaning you see the monster as a foul creature. It's a visual metaphor, isn't it?
It's a sickle. The scythe is the two handed one used upright with the reaping blade parallel to the ground at ankle height.Beautiful girl with a scythe in her hand, roaming the field in the middle of the day and trying to behead Geralt? Creepy enough![]()

@Docttj
That's the idea-gorgeous and seductive from distance, monstrous and terrifying when you approach her...Real poludnica=noonwraith
Not a big deal though, I am happy with current design...
I agree. I prefer translation of names.As a Russian speaker myself, I have to agree with eliharel. Poludnica (Полуденица) just doesn't sound as good or cool as Noonwraith. Also, coolness aside, Noonwraith is a descriptive name, while Poludnica much less so.
Slavic koschey (костій, кощей) is a full analogue of western lich.What about kikimora, drowner, noonwraith and koshchey?

Slavic volkodlak (вовкулака, волкодлак) - western werewolf;
How Kikimora (кикимора) was / can be translated I don't know![]()
yeah i know. but koschey in witcher games is giant midless crab like thing, spot the differencesIn Slavic mythology kostěj / koschey (scrag / lich) is a warlock-warrior who hid his soul in a artifacts and become immortal.
