Oh there'll be trolls in tw3 alright i can smell them

The real question is will there be any references to this gem:

I am pro an NPC asking for advise on seducing trolls.

From what I saw somewhere, yes, and yes. How will they look like? That particular race was like a mix of a golem and a troll, with "rocks" on it;s back.

Monsters in the Witcher is very subjective, around 80 in regards to creatures, as for Human 'monsters' unsure.

This might yield answers for you:

I would love some more insight into the whole "Enemies don't respawn" thing. It just seems like areas would become stale when everything dies off and there's nothing to fight. So my question would be, "If enemies don't respawn at all, what will keep exploration of areas from becoming kind of boring overtime, with nothing to fight?"

They do respawn. Each group will have a different respawn time and basically as you walk around and trigger them at various times, their respawn will also be staggered if you would. So by doing your first pass you sort of shuffle the spawns around (or set the countdown).

tahirahmed asked:
How are you handling enemy respawning in game ? for example the player from GameStar Mag mentioned that he didn't noticed any respawning within his two days gameplay time so is it true that enemies don't respawn at all? And if so does this mean visiting an old dangerous area means no challenge?

All our living world encounters will respawn at some point, usually after 2 in-game days. It is possible that he was attacked in one place by some monsters, he killed them and two days later they respawned in the same area, but this area could be big, or they could have been aggroed by something in the distance. There could be so many variables to be honest. Our system is quite organic, we didn't want it to feel fake where you would always have monster x at some exact same spot. Our monsters wander around and so on.

Hydra's in game? PLEASE!

Please someone tell me there is at least 1 Hydra in Witcher 3 The Wild Hunt.

http://witcher.wikia.com/wiki/Hydra

I would love to try and fight 1

Perhaps make a Hydra a boss in one of the expansions that get released later on.

or small glowing fairies you can catch in a bottle, then violently shake to light your way. lets give a nod to the orig rpg Link huh.

in case u all wanna read comments about this idea at reddit also

Higher vampires are just Ekimmaras shapeshifted?

It seems to me that higher vampires are intelligent Ekimmaras that can shapeshift into humans to avoid detection. Do Ekimmaras have fangs? They look like they have beaks to me, they seem bird like.

Ekimmara concept art?

So I'm thinking that the design of this creature is based on vampire bats, but I can't really get a good look at its face. It looks to me like it has a beak but that can't be right. I don't see any fangs on it either. I'm guessing it tears it's prey apart with it's talons and then laps up the blood like real vampire bats.

I've found three so far, and there are more I think.

Just south of Farcorners, a quest objective.
To the NE of the ridge by George's Tomb/Place of Power.
On Skellige, Abandoned Lumberyard.

I've dealt with the last two so far, think the first is a Trophy Leshen, and there is an Ancient Leshen ~ I *think* on Skellige, Ard Skellige west coast, though I didn't even take the quest on yet formally ~ seems to be indications from random chatter that it is though...

Why no Bruxa in The Witcher 3???

I was wandering about this a lot.....I know many monsters didn't make in the game (fleders, garkains, alps , etc.) and would be awesome to see them again but since there was a trailer even for them, why the heck aren't bruxae in the game ?

Guys what are your thoughts?

Yes - I missed that. I also missed a huge monster fight like the Kayran in Witcher 2.

I also thought that there could have been a lot more done with "good monsters", like Vincent Meis in Witcher 2. That was such a good story line.

Also - not a single time during my Witcher 3 playthrough did it say [your medallion is humming] in the dialogue. Such a missed opportunity.

Yeah the draug fight also wasn't bad at all and now that you mention it Vincent was a guy i was hoping to see again after seeing Thaler again( same goes with Adda and Shani)...
And about the medallion....i think it's not very useful in this game except that sometimes i think it vibrates when near monsters or magic but Geralt doesn't react at all...

Yea, would have been great, especially after the "Night to Remember" trailer hit... there are a couple of monsters we didn't get to see in TW3 (yet?). There also is not Striga, as far as I know...

Yeah - I know. The medallion was one of my favorite things in the Witcher 2. It hummed in dialogues to let you know something was up... but you could choose to play along and find out more. Such a great story progression tool. It's a bit sad that they didn't at least use this with one of the quests.

I also think there could have been a few more "happy endings". Maybe 10-15% could actually have been good outcomes. In Witcher 2 I got Vincent Meis and Carmen together and it felt so fitting in the world. That was a real witcher's ending, even though it was a "happy ending".

I think in W3 it's mostly grey or bad endings to the quests, they could have snuch in a few more "happy endings". They should be few and the universe should be mostly grey... I agree 100%. But I think a few happy ending for contrast is really good.

Which Noonwraith is cooler?

It's time to find out which Noonwraith is cooler.
Noonwraiths were presented in TW1, moreover, one of them even played a major role in an important quest. I think many people were happy when noonwraiths returned the third game. But the question is whether you like what game artists and designers have done to them? Let's find out.

In my opinion, the noonwraiths in The Witcher 3 look disgusting, but not scary.
In the 1st game I was terrified of looking at these bodies with their sewn mouths and eyes.
I think their new appearance is a designer's fault.
