Why is that important? Monsters in the witcher world are special and rather rare...
I for once hope that there also will be "normal" animals like deer, boars, rabbits, foxes and stuff. Real monsters should only be met on rare occasions.
I'd like to see a good amount of animals as well. I can confirm deer and what appears to be either rabbits or another kind of smaller animal, possibly a fox or raccoon? in the Microsoft demo, this version with Mamais commentating has better quality -
Pause between 0:28-0:30 you will see a deer and also watch/pause around 1:17-1:22 - You will also notice the white witcher sense audible blips. A little off-topic - Another detail during this video that I thought was interesting was after Geralt leaves meditation, it appears he is able to reuse that campfire site. Minor detail but considering the recent talks about alchemy, I thought it was a nice catch that could have deeper implications.
On-topic - My viewpoint on monsters - More the merrier! I am assuming we will have variants of certain creatures but I do not think they will count as 'unique' monsters. Nekker warrior for example. I could see a drowned dead considered unique. I might be wrong and particular variants will be considered apart of the 80 or so monsters.I guess we will see.
I am hoping that the variants within a species are separate to the total unique monsters we are all hoping for and expecting. The key here is quality and
not quantity. It'd be great to have the best of both worlds.
