I just bought this game a few days ago. It crashes so often that it is almost unplayable. I can't recall how many times I have had to repeat quests but at least 30. You would think that after the many years this game has been out that they would have stabilized it. There should be a warning on GOG's site about how often it crashes. I really want a refund for this POS game.

I think I heard that the last AMD drivers could cause some issues with Cyberpunk, so maybe worth to roll back your drivers to the previous version, just in case.

This game is the only one I have issues with and it literally crashes on load, 30 sec after playing, 20 min after playing, etc. It is very random but I have yet to have a single gaming session without multiple crashes.

Try any one of these one at a time:
- Update motherboard BIOS to the latest version — most vendors (ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, ASRock) shipped microcode/power-limit fixes specifically for this.
- Enforce Intel's default power limits in BIOS instead of the motherboard's "unlocked" defaults — this is usually a single toggle like "Intel Fail Safe" or "Intel Baseline Profile."
- If still unstable, manually cap the performance-core ratio a notch or two below stock (e.g., from 57–60x down to 54–55x) — this trades a small amount of peak clock speed for stability.
- Disable XMP/EXPO temporarily as a diagnostic step — RAM overclocking profiles can compound the instability even when RAM itself isn't at fault.
The problem might be your CPU, 13th and 14th gen CPU had some issues, I have a 13th gen and I had games crash until I installed XTU (Intel Extreme Tuning Utility) and set my performance core ratio to x53 (from x55). They put out a BIOS microcode patch, but that didnt solve it. Though I've seen people fix it in BIOS by turning of turbo boost and what not.
But try XTU and see whether that helps, if it does, the the CPU is the culprit.
I had the same symptom random crashes with an Intel i5. Downloaded the Intel CPU stress tester and it failed the mathematics test every time. The CPU was dying, but within warranty so was replaced and everything fine since then. If you do have one of the faulty chips depending on how old it is Intel have extended the warranty on some of them.
I tried all of the suggestions from @Bartinga2077 mentioned but that had no effect. I am going to try XTU to see if that helps. On a 14th gen it was at 57-60x depending on the core. I am pretty sure I used the tuner previously as I had the app already installed. I did lower some of the settings and am currently running a stress test.

This does seem to be the issue. I changed the ratio to 50x and I haven't seen a crash since. Now to work with Intel to get a CPU that works as advertised. The microcode fix had no impact and setting the bios to Intel defaults didn't either.

No, I didnt do any speedtests, I discovered the issue just as everyone else was having issues with it. That was more than a year ago. Then a friend with the same cpu recommended I use XTU. I've had my CPU for quite some time. It came at the same time that Nvidia was having issues with some of their drivers.
There was a batch of CPU in the 13th and 14th gen range that had oxydization and I remember someone sending his 14th gen CPU for RMA to intel, but it was gone for 3 weeks or a month or so.
