Mouse acceleration suddenly on after 26 hours. help

I've played this game for 26 hours and it has been fine.
I started the game up today and there was a huge amount of negative acceleration active for no reason. I have no idea why this has happened as I have not changed a single thing since I last started the game up (yesterday).
Is there a way to fix this like changing something in the config files or on my mouse settings.
Please help, this makes the game feel like shit to play and I have really enjoyed it up till now and am really annoyed.

Have you tried rebooting the computer?

Also, if you're on a laptop, make sure it's plugged in. Performance can decrease by ~50% if running on a battery.

Check your Power Configuration in both Windows and your GPU Control Panel and ensure everything is set to "Maximum Performance / Never power down".
