mouse response not fast enough for QTEs

my mouse buttons don't respond fast enough to get thru the kayran tentacle ride qte so I can't finish the fight. setting game to easy and de-selecting difficult QTEs doesn't help. mouse sensitivity is set to 10. what can I do ?

There's been a misunderstanding, my comment was simply a joke !
I've seen some people having the same problem, wait for "Tommy" to come online, maybe he knows a solution.

ok, sorry. I was just hoping for a constructive solution. I don't want to have someone do the fight for me. I'm a bit frustrated. It took me about 30 tries to get past the gate opening in the prologue too. I don't want to destroy my mouse beating the shit out of it.

I completely understand and have also found your solution. lowering graphic settings and screen resolution should help you a lot.

According to the Dxdiag you`re running a 5450 ATI card which is way under minimum specs . While I don`t know your screen resolution at which you`re playing the game at . If it`s full HD then definitely go way lower and in windowed mode . I would try 800 x 600 windowed to get past the Kayran . After which you can bump it up a little .

I will try that thanks. I've been running at around 1260 x 900 I think and haven't had any other problems, just the qtes. all of the graphics look great but I'll adjust the settings lower and try.

Yeah the QTE`s get a lot of people that are running close to minimum specs .

16:10 monitor ? The game performs a little better on 16:9 resolutions . Although you will see black bars on both the bottom and top of the screen . Some common 16:9 resolutions are
960×540, 1024×576, 1280×720

Whew ! Never mind, I tried balls out one more time and got it ! I do appreciate your offer tho. Sometimes I really feel my age !

as I have already said, don't blame yourself. that QTE doesn't meant to be that way.

There will be some important decisions later on, so I'd recommend that you keep a backup copy of your savegame after the Kayran's death, just in case you consider another play.
