I just like how much people bitched about teen angst Anakin but teen angst Kylo Ren is apparently okay.

I was just about to post that!!!!

Argh I am soooo hyped for Rogue One, I can't wait to go and see it!!!!! Too bad we have to wait until December. It is a beautiful day for the human race when we have 2 Star Wars movies both with female leads. I want this movie injected into my veins

I'm not fan of Anakin, nor Kylo Ren in that matter, but I think Rey and Finn actually made Episode 7 as good as it was for me. Such a good characters. I feel confident for next Episodes wholely because of Rey being in a big role. She has potential in development for sure.

Teaser left me a bit cold. That small tweaked Star Wars theme at the end though. Always makes me smile. :)

Prequels movie Anakin was badly written (but Hayden Christensen did as good a job as possible with that script imo) but I absolutely adore his character in Clone Wars. I also really loved how Adam Driver acted Kylo Ren, and to be honest I prefer villains that have human aspects to them as well. Darth Vader in the OT always seemed a bit cardboardish until the final movie when Luke redeemed him, because he was just an evil guy in a cape. At least Kylo Ren has some interesting internal conflict that he's working with.

But yeah, Rey is amazing and Daisy Ridley's chemistry with John Boyega as Finn made the movies great. I'm looking forward to seeing where they go with it!

Lol tbh I wasn't that hyped for Rogue One until I saw the trailer, now I'm just glad to have something else Star Warsy to tie me over until Episode 8

Adam Driver did a good job. I might not a be a big fan of Kylo as a character but he was enjoyable to watch to the limit. I liked him most when he went deeper to the dark side, and that being said Im excited to see him more fighting the inner conflict. He's powerful and that makes it interesting.

The difference is that teen angst Kylo Ren is well-acted, whereas teen angst Anakin was not. Also, the dialogue in Force Awakens, while still awkward, does not approach the cheese factor of the prequels.

Derivative the Force Awakens was, but enjoyed it I did. The film planted the seeds for a lot of interesting plot developments in episodes 8 and 9, and it gives me one more fun way to spend time with the family over the holidays. There has been a gaping hole in my Decembers ever since the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings franchises concluded.

Regardless my favourite part of the latest Star Wars movies was when Poe Dameron and Kylo Ren got together with Justin Timberlake to make a song about how much they hate outer space

Lol. Yeah, I watched that movie about a month ago as part of my New Years resolution to catch up on Oscar Isaac films. When that scene came up I was like "Holy shit! It's Adam Driver!" I had a similar moment while watching Ex Machina and realizing that Domhnall Gleeson and Oscar Isaac were acquainted prior to working on the Force Awakens. Kathleen Kennedy must be a fan of his work.

Yeah *laughs* that was kinda strange, but i really liked that it went viral online very fast and everyone and their mother were making fun of Kylo :D

I didn´t like the character that much, i found it him to be (unintentionally) funny, but i also think that the role was not well cast. Not that i have anything against the character, but i just couldn´t believe that he is their son. Maybe it´s the nose ^.^

Rey was done very well.

He always looked goofy, for a whatever kind of dark side guy he is. If he never took his mask off I'd have been fine with it.

Even if you don't like Kylo Ren that much, you have to love Adam Driver. He's like the nicest guy in the world and his interviews are so awkward and funny. (Imo he was a great Kylo Ren)

(open these spoilers at the risk of heavy images)
If it helps, he's not always sure he was suited to the role either!

Then we have comments from fellow cast members about just how Sith he truly is!!! Don't just believe me, take it from John Boyega too!

Adam Driver on what makes Kylo Ren a special villain:

He's also cute but I guess that's not really anything to do with Kylo Ren I just fell like putting it out there.

Despite hating hugging people (very Kylo Ren) he still makes exceptions for cast members. Such a kind individual. And how happy does Oscar Isaac look here? Adam has done a good thing.

Did I mention he's funny too?

This concludes my daily stan post for Adam Driver, look forward to the next one!

Actually it's in the early 1700's. The time period you're speaking of is post Napoleonic Wars and long after the Golden Age of Piracy which is widely accepted to have ended by the 1740's.

My bad, I too meant the mid 18th century. Corrected.

Any fans of Sleepy Hollow here? I need advice...

I started watching Season 3 tonight, but immediately wondered if I'd missed an "Episode Zero" because it jumped straight into something.
So I made the mistake of looking it up online.
And INSTANTLY got a really, really nasty spoiler for the season finale, which has put me off the whole thing.
So is it worth watching or not?

@PrincessCiri - I'm taking back my previous recommendation for this series, if you haven't started yet.

The whole trio is awesome bunch and fun to watch, really.

Adam Driver being the awkward nice guy, John Boyega with his wit, british humor and accent, and Daisy Ridley just being the most delightful being ever.
Interviews of them are a good fun to watch for sure.

I didn't know of Adam Driver before TFA, now I got a huge mancrush on the guy. In the behind the scenes stuff he seemed so intense and in tune with the dark side during the shoots that it even reflected on the actors opposite of him.

Picking up the Kylo Ren thread from yesterday, I think he is really going to come into his own in the next movie. When we first meet him, he's really just a novice. The guy's got a jerry-rigged lightsaber because he's never completed his training and was unable, I assume, to procure an in-tact Kyber crystal. Even his clothing is frayed and rough around the edges to convey his malleability. I found it ironic when he looks at Rey and says, "You need a teacher!," because that's exactly what he is looking for. He's a very subtle actor as well, which is one of the reasons that he won me over. Episode 8 is going to have some dark shit in it, and at the top of the list is going to be his education under Snoke.
