3 chapters in and Foundation, beautiful special effects notwithstanding, is going nowhere. I'm bored with the current shows, I'm gonna rewatch Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex and Edgerunners, as I need something actually fun.

4th chapter in, the show is as pretty as the Knights of the Old Republic Star Wars film that has never been made, but the plot is not moving much indeed, and they're reaching the half season.

Been watchimg the new devil may cry and honstly an one of the best soundtracks like the opening with rollin by limp bizcut is great amd it realy fits in with the toan of the show and its caotic atmosphere

Been watching Dexter Resurrection this evening. I still have a couple of more episodes to catch up on. Dexter in New York just doesn't have the same charm as Dexter in Miami. It's better than the previous attempt, but still missing too much of what made the original great. I do like the new harder edge version of Angel. I wish he'd get more screen time.

Honestly all the spin offs have disappointed me, I only truly liked the OG show

I'm digging Alien Earth, it's more original than Romulus (which despite being a fun movie I found derivative and adding nothing new to the franchise). It even has a touch of Cyberpunk with Cyborgs and even something akin to engrams being a thing and Corpos running humanity.

Well, the prophesied moment in Foundation has finally happened:

Foundation: "The Mule's coming, what are we going to do?!? Please help us professor Seldon!!!"

Hari Seldon: "...the fuck's a "Mule"?"

:coolstory:

Watched Running Man, or tried to. I've seen it several times, and think it's sillier every time I watch it. Am I the only person who thinks that the Steven King novel written when Steven King wasn't Steven King deserves a decent remake?

Right now the best shows I'm watching are Peacemaker and Chief of War. King and Conqueror was also pretty good.

I saw the first half of the final season of Stranger Things. It wasn't the least bit interesting until the last half of the last episode. Unless maybe you want to watch a very non-athletic Millie Bobbie Brown try to look athletic, or kids who have somehow aged four years in what apparently is supposed to be just a year of time passed in the show. That's all I'll say to avoid spoilers.

The rest of the episodes air I think in December. I hope they pick up with the strong finish of the last episode and try to make it make sense, rather than returning to the weak effort of everything before that. I'd like to see the series end well, not go out like a whimper from actors who don't seem to want to be doing it any longer.

Hmm...

I don't even watch TV, movies, or streaming services, but I still dislike this news.
Interesting. Television and movies are about to be ruled by three giant streaming services, all of which are overpriced: Amazon, Netflix/Warner, and Disney. Disney has Marvel, now Netflix will have DC and the Harry Potter stuff.

Edit: make that four. I forgot about Comcast / Universal. But that's interesting in itself. Comcast/Universal has very close ties with Warner. Hmm ... I wonder what's going to happen with that.

My favorite series:
– The X-Files
– Millennium
– Westworld

Favorite film:
– Annihilation

Moody sci-fi, mystery, and questions without easy answers)

The first trailer for Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey:
With Matt Damon as Odysseus, Anne Hathaway as Penelope and Tom Holland as Telemachus.
Really has this feeling of Troy (2004) but with full blown magic and mythological creatures - I'm so excited.

I was watching Fall of the House of Usher last night on Netflix, and noticed that one of the characters, Leo Usher, was playing Cyberpunk 2077. I saw the series when it first came out, but didn't catch that easter egg.

The guy who plays the character, Rahul Kohli, has done a good bit of voice acting for video games. Not sure if this was a product placement by CDPR (it was a well-hidden one if so), or if the actor just wanted to showcase some popular games with his character.
