Man, makes me want to re-watch it. I especially miss the battle of Guan Du for some reason, that's when Cao Cao was at his zenith.

That was the big battle against Shao? That combat was pretty good yes, and showed Cao Cao's tactical skills, and his sheer deviousness.

You can watch Three Kingdoms on YouTube. Getting it elsewhere isn't easy.

Since there doesn't exist a translated DVD on Three Kingdoms (as far as I know) I would think they would be glad were people to watch them with fan translation.

Yesterday I have finished watching "Vikings" series (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2306299/?ref_=sr_1), and I have to say that it really sucked me in (because of that i have slept only 5 hours this night :D/>). Very good series if you like such stories.

I wish they would make an official version, but the fan translation is very very well done. Not only do they sub the dialogue, but they also put notes to explain things to those who are not familiar with Chinese culture or calendar.

If they do make an official DVD though, I'm buying it.

They do put extra info there too, but it stays so short it's nigh on impossible to read it most of the time. You have to have an eye on the conversation as well after all. It is very well done though, and it's excellent that such a good show is available on YouTube.

So what does everyone think of the final scene in ep10 of GoT?

I'm thinking the fans influenced it too much, it doesn't compare the the final scenes in the past two seasons.

It was less frustrating than I feared, at least compared to most of this season. Lots of it still grind my gears, I don't get why they can't stick more to what actually happens. I'm glad they expanded a bit on the Red Wedding, with shots of the outdoor slaughter as well. In the last episode it all felt so small compared to what actually goes on in the books, and they improved it a little by showing the burning and such outdoors.

Overall I've been terribly disappointed with this season though. One can hope they take the criticism to heart and do a better job next season, but the problem is they have already diverted on so many things, they would need some pretty hard retconning just to get back on track.

You mean the way they took the criticism from the last season into consideration? I don't think they feel the need to change anything (considering the viewers have been rising per season) and the criticism ins't that vocal since the show seems to get more praise from what I've seen. And even GRRM said that the show might end differently than the books (albeit he said it jokingly, I wouldn't be surprised if it were to actually happen.)

Anyhow, I haven't seen the season final yet, but overall I found this season to be very mediocre. It had some good moments as well as bad ones, but nothing particularly impressive.

I know; a very naive hope, but we gotta cling onto something, right? :/ Considering they do a lot differently from the books already, I wouldn't be surprised to see the story archs continue to divert from each other. There is also a good chance the final book won't be published by the time the TV series moves past book 5 (and 6), so then they probably have to come up with something of their own.

Quite frankly, I'm just glad I decided to read the books first (after watching the first season), so that the mental images I have are mostly rooted in the books. I'm sure it's a better reading experience too, when everything is new, instead of basically knowing what will happen (bastardisation aside) and just getting more meat on the bone.

That finale was okay...not what I'd call memorable really.

Did anyone else think Jon's delivery of "I have to go home!" sounded funny? lol I cracked up the way he said it.
