Neh, I was rolling my eyes too hard because they had postponed that scene that much, in a way that didn't make an inch of sense. Thought the finish was fine though. Looked pretty cool. Not sure in what way that would be fan influenced, but maybe you mean because they were (again) playing on our emotions?

I watched only part of the finale and then figured I had better things to do than bore myself.

That good, eh? :D

It's strange though. People seem to be praising the show right and left and saying stuff like "it's making TV history". No idea what kind of TV history that is, but I'm dumbfounded by the seemingly universal praise across the board. Is it only some fans of the books who dislike it?

In my opinion, it is a great show. Those who read the books and very particular about them, may be disappointed by some changes. For me it is enough that Martin is on-board with HBO, writes scripts for some episodes, and, it seems, shares their vision. If the original creator is OK with this show, I wouldn't want to be holier-then-thou. I enjoy it for what it is, a great adaptation of a great fantasy series.

I share the same feeling. I know many book readers, some even before the show came into being, and all do love it, not just like. Yep there are people who don't like the changes, but well everyone is entitled to their own opinion. :)

And talking about the finale, THAT MUSIC!

It didn't have the same impact as the other finales. Everybody loves Danny so let's show her instead of something magical(which was the common theme of both finales before) like Lady Stoneheart or something. It just seemed like pandering to me but maybe because I hate Dany.

I've been hearing rumors that Lady Stoneheart will be Talisa and not Catelyn (the actress did sign up for another show).

Which would be horrible if it's true.

ya both of them are chubby lol :D

And where did you hear that KOP? Oona Chaplin has 'also' left the show, said herself. And regarding the Michelle, it can be just misleading and she will turn up, or maybe another look alike with more 'features' looking of Stoneheart will be cast. And if it's the latter, why do you think a person can't do more than one project at the same time? Now that I don't understand what you think my friend.

Besides, Peter Dinklage is filming right now as he is in the main cast of X-Men Days of future past! That comic mini-series is amazing, and if you like/unto comics, this will be probably be the best x-men movie and probably 'Marvel' movie there is! (read: not marvel studios)

And it's the half-man's birthday today (depending on where you live) :D

Also I just booked a while back my tix for Man of Steel IMAX 3D for friday first thing in the morning. Sadly no special screening this time here but oh well finally it's upon us!

If this happens, I'm not watching it anymore. I don't like it at all if this rumor happens to be true.

Nah Michelle Fairley (Catelyn) has been teasing that she recently has a "throat infection" so she'll be Stoneheart.

Maybe Oona (Talisa) will play someone like Jeyne Poole or just stay alive like the real Jeyne Westerling.

After getting her tummy stabbed and unborn child slaughtered while inside. Mate she is clear dead. Maybe she wasn't a major character (anymore) in the books, so they killed her off in the show to make it more brutal as it was. Perhaps if needed they will pull something off like how they did with Gendry.

This is a nice example of how they messed up when going their own ways with the story. Will they simply ignore Westerling altogether in the series? If not, how the hell are they going to introduce her? What if she (in the books) suddenly have Robb's kid in book 6 or something?

A fine mess they created there, completely unnecessarily.

They constantly consult George on shit though so can't really mess up that bad. They probably know his plans for the next books as well.

Yea I am inclined to agree with guipit, that they consulted George on the important matter. We know for a fact that they know how the story will end.

My guess is that Jeyne Westerling in the books themselves, is more or less irrelevant. That or maybe even GRRM has no clue what to do with her, which is an impression I have of a lot of his plot threads and subplots.

Only just started reading A Feast for Crows, but if there is no mention of Jeyne in the books after The Red Wedding, I don't exactly see a need for Jeyne to play a role at all in the future. She married Robb, he died and she returned to the Craig, without any success for a child. End of story.
