Noah's actions can be understood not as ignoring or attempting to abandon humanity, but on the contrary, as waiting for people to repent until the last moment, hoping that it will overturn the destruction even after it was decreed. It's the reason he entered the ark "because of the waters of the flood". I.e. he didn't do it in advance, but was waiting until the last moment, whether it will end up reverted. The scenarist here provided a negative rather than a positive interpretation. So Noah decides to leave the other humans to die because of his perception.
The irony of the movie is that the director is an atheist, and yet it's pretty faithful to the lessons of the Bible:
There is lot's of information in midrashic sources however. For example the most interesting explanation of the events points out that time "has ceased to exist" during the flood outside the ark. I.e. it was not just a catastrophe, but a time anomaly. Such kind of event can be even perceived as "non existent" historically (i.e. untraceable) since it's out of the regular timeflow. That's a very interesting subject by the way (the splitting of time into different flows or other time anomalies), which is discussed in a number of sources.although there's barely anything written on the Ark story
She's very young in the first book, just a teenager. Emilia Clarke doesn't really stand out in the role other than being gorgeous to look at. I agree with Costin that she doesn't have to be in every episode when half of it is her making the interminable journey to King's Landing. I find myself annoyed with Sansa's pouting, even though she has a good reason for it now, but I still think Tyrion needs to slap a bitch.Well perhaps I should clarify it a bit, yes things to happen in her sections I mean thinking about what happens is kinda interesting but what is actually delivered in the show seems like a desperate attempt, "hey guys, I exist too!".
Maybe it's the actress or just her delivery but I seriously get put off by the Daenrys sections and her dialogues. 'Edgy' really is the word I can come up with to describe it.
"I am the queen, give me whatever I want", "I will see each and everyone's face" she might as well say she wants to drink everyone's blood.
If you think she's going to cross thousands of miles across the sea with just ten thousand unsullied and twenty thousand untrained troops from freed slaves that she has by time she takes Mereen while leaving the tens of thousands of freed slaves who follow her behind the you've got another thing coming.I agree with Costin that she doesn't have to be in every episode when half of it is her making the interminable journey to King's Landing
Yeah, even though I've lost interest in the show for the most part, I'm still looking forward to a certain event.Personally I vastly prefer it like this. Song of Ice and Fire is about slow build up with massive pay off.
Don't worry though, it's all going to go to hell very very soon.
Neither the new Daario or the Viper fit their roles. Kind of disappointing casting choices there. I did really enjoy the Sandor- Arya scenes.
Which one? The dwarf show? The Viper and the Bull? The Crossbow?I'm still looking forward to a certain event.
Yeah, Dany is annoying. Also she is kind of all good and shit, while her enemies are evil enslaving bastards, which is boring like hell. "I will look at every face..." Gosh, could you get a little bit more ridiculous please? I really like ambiguity and complexity of Westeros more.Dany is indeed annoying. Petulant, and she's now in the sections where she doesn't have to pay for anything that's handed to her. Then again, this may be what's intended for her. People assume she's an author's darling but I see GRRM making her a teenager who's too big for her britches.

Yes, it did.Anyone else thought No Man's Land in the last scene?

Well this is what I remembered from memory the actual screen turned out to be a bit differentYes, it did.Only not this screen, but a scenery from Killing Monsters trailer. I hope we'll get in TW3 NML that looks exactly like this, a land devastated by war, dark from fires and ash, with murderous gangs (and monsters) roaming the land.
While I do think the old Daario was better, the Viper is perfectly cast in my opinion. I enjoyed his scenes so much, and not because Dorne is my favorite kingdom and I've been waiting for them 4 years to pop up (though that too...). I think the guy has depth and charisma, and great acting skills.Neither the new Daario or the Viper fit their roles.
Yeah, I also think Oberyn did quite a good job. While I do think the old Daario was better, the Viper is perfectly cast in my opinion. I haven't even bothered with the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, even the biggest Marvel fans gave up on it as far as I know. The new movies are really fun and entertaining, though. Sadly, they rarely go beyond that, and there's a lot of unexplored potential thanks to Disney's constraints, but it's astounding how each movie keeps getting better. I expected it to fail the first time I heard about the arc and Marvel's planned timeline (that is now extended to 2026 or something crazy like that... :/)Not a big fan of these Marvel things, watched a few episodes of that Agents of Shield and it was just boring. The Avenger's were better when it was just Steed and Mrs Peel. That said i've not seen Captain America so that might change my mind, i'll look out for it now.
