They won't change her, she's many people's favorite (don't know why to be honest - probably because she is a strong, independent woman).
Enter The Void was great for first 30 min, then it slowly became more boring and unnecessarily long. Still interesting movie.
I've only watched one other movie from Noe - "Irreversible" - couldn't stand it. Not because of the famous 20 minute or so rape scene, but because director was trying so hard to make you stop watching it, the beginning was a good example. I know some people really liked it, but for me, it was a mess of the film.

Actually looks pretty good. Truth is I've always thought Batman would make for a great tv series, but I fear if they focus more on the villains than Batman's origin, It may lose steam.

It's actually going to focus more on Jim Gordon's early days on the GCPD when he was a lowly detective. I think that could be a good thing as Gordon is almost always in the background of Batman stories, so seeing him as the main character is a good opportunity to show how the ordinary cops in the city react to all the mad stuff that tends to happen. Oh, and according to DC, Bruce Wayne is still a kid in this series, so he'll likely be kept out of everything by Alfred, though we'll probably see some foreshadowing latter on in the series I think. :geek::w00t:

I'm definitely curious. With Bruce as a kid throughout the series, they'll have to rely mainly on very cool detective plots I assume.

I'm sad. The ending to season 4 was bloody amazing. The whole chess play between Gus and Walter, and before that the destruction of the Mexican cartel, and Jesse, and Mike... wow.
But season 5 was very quick in tearing you back down to earth from that high. Watching Walter's moral free-fall is tough. Episode 4 was about his 51st birthday. The series began with his 50th, when he was a clumsy introvert with too much pent up frustration from the mediocrity of his life. Now in his 51st, he's excessively proud, drunk from victory, and completely disconnected from the understandable reason that led him to crime to begin with. He's out of control, and has lost what small bit of compassion he still had in him.
The 5th season opened with his 52nd birthday, all alone, with a beard, hair and new identity, purchasing a big ass gun for whatever. On one hand, I'm sort of relieved that he'll pay for his hubris. On the other, it's painful to think how many people - who he once cared about - he'll hurt along the way, until everything blows up in his face.
Walt was always a difficult protagonist to like, but now he seems completely lost, and it's depressing.
Edit: Btw, if anyone replies (which is welcome), please don't say anything along the lines of "it'll be better" or "yep". Nothing to hint whatsoever about whether or not things will end up good or bad. I have no idea what to expect, and I quite like it.

Bruce will grow up throughout the series. If they go that route he will disappear from the show as he goes around the world studying/training.
Why I assume this is because it is confirmed years down the line, the series finale will show Bruce donning the cape and becoming Batman.

They can't keep him out of the program for too long. The villains just aren't as interesting as Batman. They never have been.
they should show gordon training the kid. i mean why is batman the world's greatest detective? they never explained that.
wasn't there an early story line where a young Bruce was Robin, while training under some detective? Believe it was altered later to remove the Bruce = Robin stuff.

This is a great idea. I don't know if the comics ever took this angle, Gordon unwittingly training Batman. From the articles I've read, it seems they'll end the series with Bruce becoming Batman. In other words, the whole series would be an origin story with no pay off. Terrible premise. I hope I'm wrong on that.
Smallville did this. We quite liked the first two or three seasons. It was like Superhero Christmas Eve.
Gordon didn't train Wayne, iirc. Wayne did a lot of training, some with a French detective who apparently had the finest deductive mind in the world, (I could google his name, I suppose..Jean Henri..something? Anyway, some European super detective), but none with Gordon. Heck, in the Miller Universe, ( World...6..something), Gordon only showed up in Gotham as Batman was starting his run. THAT Gordon was an asskicker, though. Crap-kicked a Green Beret with his bare hands, -after- he'd taken a nasty beating and after he gave the Beret, Flass, baseball bat because, "he deserved a chance."

). Even her kind decisions are stupid - when she runs out of money repaying people threefold for her dragons' behavior, what would she do - go and pillage another city? I really hope she will soon change one way or another and either turn into a tyrant screwing everybody, or start using her brain at last and stop pissing away funds/murdering people by hundreds without proper info.

The show has idealized Dany far too much, so it was nice to see in this episode how short sighted she really is. The trial seems almost silly. How the hell did they get every witness against Tyrion and none for him? Not even one. Once again, not enough transpires to feel satisfied at the conclusion, but the acting is always good.
Ahh..the trial was fixed, Slim. Totally fixed. It was, as Tyrion said, about punishing him for being a dwarf and well, being him. Tywin set it up.
Dany isn't short-sighted or an idiot, at least for an 18 year old. She's actually supposed to be about 14 at this point..but anyway. She's struggling against a lot and is one of the few people trying to do the right thing. Personally, I probably would have swept every slave-owning family member older than, say, 13...out of life altogether and introduced the rest to conscription. I don't like slavers. It's her mercy that binds her down now. Had she approached things from a more Genghis Khan bent, her life would be easier and the cities would be well subdued.
She won't run out of money repaying people - since she's not concerned with husbanding the wealth for her own obscene profit, she has plenty at this point. Very few people make claim against her anyway.
Well, it is not our time, and it is not our type of economy. Sure, it is all nice and shit to free slaves, but when the economy is based on slavery, you can't just have every slave free and happy, while also having steady supply of goods and services. Dany was never exposed to any experience about how economic relations work. First they lived off money they got for the things they brought from Westeros, then they were provided by their merchant hosts, and later she lived with a horde that had only horses and stole/robbed/got as a tribute the rest. Right now what she has is a horde that does not tilt soil or do anything productive but wander around and attack cities. They are pretty much a blight upon the land, and three dragons burning herds of cattle do not help. Sure, it is a fantasy story, but there should be some realism. She executes free people who are architects, doctors, and such, and she will be left with a hungry crowd of slaves with no special skills. Unless she starts thinking about economy, how to have skilled labor, production and traffic of goods, stable food supply, and services, she is no more than a queen of thieves and robbers.
I know economy is boring, and dragons and conquests are far more exciting, but it is not a high fantasy where such things are irrelevant. From perspective of disruption of a normal life Dany is a frigging disaster, and she should learn to "count coppers" fast, or the entire Essos will be up in arms against her horde.
