Moving to new PC

I have been enjoying The Witcher 2 for a while but have just bought a new computer. I want to MOVE the game to my new machine - i.e. not run two copies but just one.

I think I can find out how to move the saved games but how do I move the main game software? If I delete the original copy, will I then be able to install it again on my new machine?

If not...what then?

Thanks

Alan

Unless you are proficient with copying applications, editing the registry, and solving problems as they arise, you are better off reinstalling. Nothing prevents you from simply doing so.

Make sure your new PC has an adequate graphics card and is up to date on Windows and drivers.

You are aware The Witcher 2 is a DRM-free game, right? You can install it as many times and in as many computers as you need.

Don't bother yourself copying. Just reinstall in your new computer, but move your saved games in your Documents folder to the same location in your new Windows installation. Everything else should run fine.

Just make sure the new game installation is patched at least to the same version you were playing before.

Er no, sorry; I had not realised that The Witcher 2 is no a DRM-free game. So here we go, install, patch copy saves and run; thanks!

WEll as I now realise The Witcher 2 is a DRM-free gam, all shoould be well. I am taking my graphics card from old to new PC (NVIDIA GTX480) so all should be OK.

Thanks
