My understanding it's going to be a completely different game done by a different team from what info I've been able to dig up but I agree, fix the base game before handThey need to fix the issues with the single player first before they even think about multiplayer, there are countless small bugs and glitches the most annoying of which i sometimes just randomly die out of nowhere, always with an electric shock, even though i have immunity to shock. its always when falling a short distance. I assume its part of the fall damage system. But its super annoying and makes no sense at all.
Problem with any multiplayer of any kind is that they would have to remove anything and everything that slows time for one player.
Open world co-op only. Keep pvp restrained to separate confined zones. Anything like GTA online and it's a hard pass for me.
That wouldn't be bad so long as they don't have missions in those zones on those days.I could potentially see a work around by changing how these features work. The Kerenzikov could work as a speed buff instead of a time slow, granting the player faster reload, movement, etc. For the hacking, they could change the current targeting system, maybe allocating certain buttons to the certain hacks (only when hacking) so that all youd need to do is point the hack at a predeterminly sized area around an enemy, then pressing the specific button.

maybe different districts could be more dangerous on different days! like monday, Pacifica is the pvp zone for the day, and thursday its westbrook.
This exactly. There is no way. Time slows down SO MUCH in this game. it isn't just the "time slow" effect, it is also stuff like slowing time so you can pick options while quick hacking. There's time freeze while inputting breach protocol. There's just no way to have that in multiplayer.Problem with any multiplayer of any kind is that they would have to remove anything and everything that slows time for one player.
All I am hoping for in regards to multiplayer is that it isn't going to be a microtransaction filled mess but I am pretty sure that I will be disappointed.
Pretty sure one of their goals with the multiplayer mode is to create something with a recurring revenue stream.
This is where actually utilizing the roles from the core game would be good. Especially for PvP. Oh look, a bunch of Solo's. Hey Netrunner's, disable them. That kind of thing. They are also missing the Combat Zone which is very much a part of Night City. I do see more Coop based missions but again, if they follow the core roles, could create some very unique runs.I can't see multiplayer being anything other than some form of coop mission. The game's balance just wouldn't be able to handle anything approaching PvP. In GTA Online your only skill is really shooting and getting a different gun is easy. In CP, you're either would have the 'meta' build that destroys all others or not.

Something that some of you probably don't know but our characters are known as Edgerunners because of living life on the edge. How you gonna live your life edgerunner?
Have a look atAh, kind of like ME3's multiplayer roles? I can see that working.
Roll20 works well with Cyberpunk 2020When I want to play a multi player version of CP 2077;
I will pull the rule books off the shelf and call up some chooms and tell them to grab their dice and gather around the table.
... after this covid virus blows over this summer. Because i like my friends.
Otherwise i aint gonna put up with the random shitty behavior of interweeb gonks thinking that no one can touch em so they go on a spree of murderhobo-ing whatever story elements are to be found. Like they are some kinda cyberpsycho.
Inevitably, the first idea that their addled brain meats manage to put together afterward will be "Now that we rat fucked the story beyond all recognition lets go grief the other players still here ..."
But what about the megablock you set on fire?
Not our problem choom! <disconnnects>
