Welll, the arguments for and against MP and or CO-OP have pretty much been hit from every angle and rehashed about a dozen times, so I am not sure what else there is to do in this thread other than talk about the brown foul smelling fudgy substance you like to mix with your peanut butter...
At least until someone else comes in with crazy ideas or doom saying... or god forbid, something interesting to bring to the table....

I do understand very well how free-roam co-op play works, thank you very much. Once again, I reiterate, I do play games with other people online, and have a blast doing it. Yes, blowing up stuff and killing mobs is fun with friends.
And, no, doing single player missions with friend is not more fun than doing them on my own, especially if they are challenging (again, as "challenging" as a video game can be) whether being combat, puzzle, require a hard choice to make or a lot of thought to consider future outcome, etc.
The 2 things I cannot fathom are: 1. who in the hell would want to follow me around in a role-playing game where I make all the decisions and dictate which path the game takes? Other than to blow up stuff and kill mobs.. I surely wouldn't follow anyone around; and 2. how can someone say playing with friends is fun but MMO and PvP are bullshit? MMO is designed for you to play with your friends, and do the same missions, etc... PvP, you can fight along your friends or against them, with the added challenge that you fight again other people and not scripted NPCs.
You know what? Now I want open world PvP in CP2077. After all, the PnP game was meant to be played with friends, and there are different enemy factions in game. Perfect setting for PvP, and what better than palying with friends against strangers and going on sabotage missions, war missions... YES!! PvP for CP2077!

Multiplayer for RPGs is not always a bad thing, what really matters is if it is done correctly. Fable II co-op - yeah boring and didnt work. Ultimately the decision rests with CDPR and they will do what is best for the game. Adding multiplayer just because the fans want it could ruin the game. The message here, dont cater to the casuals.
I think multiplayer co-op could be great if you emulated for example splinter cell: conviction with a multiplayer storymode.
Storymode: have a short mode were you play as one of four pre created characters and can have a conversation system were both players are active. Think of a good cop, bad cop situation interrogating a suspect and one player can choose to say one thing and the other player follows with his conversation option. The old republic had something similar but one player still called most of the shots wile the second player staid in the back. Have like GTA and have the story moments be initialized as you reach a curtain place on the map.
CO-OP modes: Some places also have simply strait out co-op sessions with a version of horde mode, infiltration were you sneak into a place or objective based missions. maybe have a mission to extract a defecting corporate VIP like in count zero

Coop is simply a chance for failure CDPR should not risk. That's potentially *months* worth of dev time that could have been spend on more depth and length of the sp campaign. Usually -at least in the RPG genre- a good implementation of coop also necessarily waters down the sp experience.
I say skip it and focus on the important stuff (sp campaign).

You know what, I hadn't thought about that. I like the idea of being able to play this game co-op, but I wouldn't want to sacrifice sp experience for that. But really, CDPR should just take as much time as needed to get it right.
