mutagen slots not appearing

Hi everybody
I have a problem on The Witcher 2 Enhanced edition.
I read about mutagen slots...but I only see one mutagen slot on the upper branch of the tree.
all the others haven't the small circle that indicated a mutagen slot...and I saw a pic of another user that shows that many abilities have the slot...
what should I do?

What you're seeing is correct - there's only a few abilities with mutagen slots.

The other player that you saw was probably using a mod. There're a few over at The Nexus that change the way that mutagens can be assigned.

If you're still on the Training tree (your first six talents are restricted to this tree), there are only two skills open to you that have mutagen slots (Fortitude and Arrow Redirection). One of those must be the one you are seeing.

Once the other trees are open to you, you will be able to see more mutagen slots. The Alchemy tree has the most (5).

Or as Dragonbird said, that user may have been using a mod.

No mutagen slots on any skill on my part. Check everything tens of time. A few other "glitches" too: no advance Signs possible(only one skill point per Sign), unable to light ANY resonating crystal with Signs and the adrenaline sends my Geforce GTX 660 2Mb into hellish heat distording the video everytime the bar is full...

Well, I guess it wasn't meant to be...

Those are due to FCR 2. In general, do not expect character development to work the same in FCR 2. It has been changed for good reasons. If you do not want the FCR 2 features, well, don't use it.

The problem with overheating graphics cards is known and is being worked on.

The problem with the resonating crystals being unresponsive is known and is being worked on.

The following are not problems but are by design:

Skills have 1 level each, not 2.

To use mutagens, you have to level up certain skills in the Alchemy tree.

I'm sorry if my post is annoying but it's my first time playing the game and I don't know what is the difference between playing with or without FCR2. So, there is no choice for me here. But thanks anyways Guy for the answer. Now I know that it's just the way it is and that someone, somewhere is working on it...

FCR 2 is a mod, not a patch and not part of the base game. You would have to have installed it on purpose. If you want to play without its effects, you should uninstall it. I think it uninstalls from the Control Panel "Uninstall a program", but I am not so familiar with it that I can say for sure.
