My CD KEY for Witcher 2 doesn't work anymore

Got Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings on hard copy deluxe edition of sorts (big box with maps, manuals, bonus cd etc).
Tried add the code to GoG and Steam but I get the message that the code is not legit anymore.

Thanks for the tip. I think I tried that before but it didn't work. Anyway, I bought it again via GOG last night, wasn't that pricey and I get the Enhanced version, all while saving the discs and material in my Collectors Box more fresh and virtually unused.
