My deepest apologies to CDPR

I have preordered the collector's edition since it was announced. Yesterday I called the store that I placed the order, and unfortunately they told me that my game will arrive after June. I don't know why and I don't really care, since the collector's edition is all about the physical stuff that comes with it, the thing is, I can't wait that long to play the game, and I won't, that's why I am making this post, I have decided to acquire the game by other means(you know what I mean) while I wait for the collector's edition to arrive, and to be honest I feel really guilty about it.

Some might say that I can just wait for it to arrive and play, but for me it won't be the same. It's a lot different to play a game when it's launched, while it's fresh. It also helps with spoilers, when it's new there won't be as many out on the net.

So yeah, you are my favourite company CDPR, I wouldn't even care enough to make a post for any other company out there, but here it comes out naturally for me to apologize. I am sorry, and I can't wait to get my hands on the CE!

the most important thing is that you buy the game and support the devs if you like it .. only this way they have money for food, a job so that they can survive and can have families to breed more developers =P. and if you relay love the game you throw in a bit more money show how much you like it and buy just a digital copy ;) . but as i said the most important thing is to pay for it at least once

You do know that you can also buy a digital edition from gog.com, right?

Definitely kind off heartwarming to read such a post in the midst of all this ongoing downgrad shitstorm :ok:

Considering you did pay for the game (and even more than the typical €60), I consider it quite morally justified to acquire a digital copy "through other means". That's completely different from some other users who posted they were "feeling betrayed", canceled their preorders, and illegally downloaded it. That's wrong and awfully childish.

I laughing so hard at this hahahaha

Returning to the matter at hand, as @NoBlackThunder said if you like the game you should buy it. You already did that. Pirate games are a dificulty topic, and I kind of understand you. But, another solution would be to buy a digital version. Get one at steam. Them you will have on both plataforms (GOG and Steam) and you will be able to trade cards on steam :D

If you already bought a copy I see nothing wrong with downloading an additional backup copy for use on the same system lol. Don't beat yourself up about it man. Haha

I did that. I support CDPR.
Bought the X1 digital, bought the physical edition and I'm thinking about the CE. All I need is a proper answer from the Brazilian distributor.

Implying that the OP is growing money on trees. Asking him to buy the game twice.

What a heartfelt opening post, OP. I must say it almost reduced me to tears. All are forgiven in the eyes of CDPR.

.??

Now i'm worried. There are delays with the physical editions? I already suffered one with witcher 2 collector edition (a complete month) and I almost get crazy. The fame comes out in 4 days... i'm very gappy with cdproject, but if there are delays on physical copies, it is their job to provide the stores, at least, digital codes to let us download the game. It is nothing new: i had seen it being done mostly with dlcs and from tiime to time with the game itself

CDPR should make "A confession to remember" trailer now :D

Back to the subject, I'd say it's okay considering you're in difficult position now. It's already too difficult to wait for like 2 - 3 more days so I cannot imagine waiting till June, the important thing is you're supporting them :)

evil is evil, lesser, greater, middling, makes no difference...

Download it with trust and excitement.

Of course there are - if you live somewhere a long way from the retailer you bought it from and they're using a slow delivery service, it may take longer to arrive. I ordered in Europe, delivery in SEA, it'll take longer. Just a fact of geography, nobody's fault.

@Arclavum: Totally with you there bro...My CE arrives on 22may and I caved and bought the Steam version as well because I simply cannot wait to play this game as soon as I'm able.

But if I were in your shoes I'd probably do the same.

Personally If i were to buy the CE(not that I did) and were notified that the CE would come 1-2 months later.

I would definitely buy the game on Steam/GoG to play it. Main reason being that when the game is released it will be in a way Spoiler Free(if you totally ignore all these damn Console reviews/gameplays)

True, but for example I would never have the money to buy the CE and then a regular verswion again. Ofcourse I'm university student so money is always kinda scarce ^^ But still, I would have to wait 2 months. Or well...pirate it. :/ But on the other site, I would have never bought the CE to begin with ^^

I'm probably going to do the same until my Collector's Edition arrives. Won't even go through the story, just do side quests and enjoy the atmosphere until mine comes in. Hopefully it comes in on launch so I can thank the almighty shipping Gods and oogle over my goodies and steelbook.
