My game crashes every time I use a heavy attack with a katana. Any idea why this happens?
Oh no, it's not "mod related". It's 100% vanilla and easily reproducibleCertainly sounds as if it will be mod-related. If you want to test, ensure all mods have been disabled and uninstalled, verify/repair the installation, begin a brand new game with in an empty save slot (don't overwrite one of the saves that you've used for a modded playthrough), and test out the katana there. That will determine whether the issue comes up in vanilla CP2077.
So any in-game attachment to the weapon will cause the game to crash in vanilla if using a heavy attack? Or is it only certain attachments? (It's not a bug that I'm familiar with, but I hardly ever use katanas [...which is actually really weird, considering how much I love swords in games.])Oh no, it's not "mod related". It's "simply" because of a mod (a weapon attachment if you prefer) installed on the katana itself which cause the game crash when performing an heavy attack.
I think it's only this attachment (Airstrike) installed on a katana. Not sure if this attachment is installed on any other melee weapon would also cause crashes. I never encountered this issue myself, because I never used any other katana than iconics, so no attachment and well, no issue...So any in-game attachment to the weapon will cause the game to crash in vanilla if using a heavy attack? I remember Cohh got some crashes on his 2.0 playthrough (available on YouTube). He scratched his head for a while to figure out why his game crashed, before one viewer told him why (this attachment on the katana he used).
