Mellow salutations fellow Cyberpunkers !
Necro posting my fix for stable gaming with AMD hardware in case this helps someone
Before you start:
• Disable any manual overclocking on RAM / GPU/ CPU and reset to defaults
• Update your mobo BIOS, Windows and all drivers, GPU + chipset included
• Is your card seated properly ? if not remove and reseat
• Are you daisy chaining PSU to GPU cables? if yes then use two separate cables
• How recently did you do a fresh install on your OS? if it's been a while backup your data and start fresh
• This guide assumes you're not modding, if using them I recommend to disable all of them and re-enable them one by one later to check for stability
How I always fix my random crashing and glitching:
• Remove *ALL* AMD drivers, run DDU from Wagnard in safe mode, reset all shader caches, delete the games separate shader cache in the "engine" folder
• Install the latest GPU + chipset + drivers from the AMD site and reboot
• At boot go to PCs BIOS and check -> Memory settings -> XMP ON & CPU settings -> PBO OFF
• Look up the min + max clocks for your GPU from the manufacturers website or Techpowerup database and set those for the game in AMD catalyst profile
• Check temps with the overlay (Ctrl + shift + O) and if necessary increase fan profiles for your GPU to ensure long-term stability
• Reverify and update the game in your gaming app
• Run the game from the .exe with admin rights
• Accept any prompts from Windows security, folder protection etc.
That's it have fun netrunner
