My S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 concept

My S.t.a.l.k.e.r. 2 concept created with Cryengine 5. It's still work in progress, and i'm gonna make video when i finished it.
Love this engine so much. About graphics i don't need to talk cause you all know what Cryengine can do, but what impressed me even more are great performance. It's a beast!

Impressive, most impressive - as one certain Sith Lord so eloquently put it.
You're not planning to do a complete engine recreation of the original, do you?

That's more of a rhetorical question, by the way.

I plan to make Stalker like game. I'm negotiating with some people who want the same. I need a team.

Sounds good! Does Cry Engine support Vulkan well now? Can you make a working Linux build with it?

It does support Vulkan. But why is this important to you?

And CRYENGINE is supported on the Ubuntu 14 64bit, but it should probably work with other distributions.

Because Vulkan should offer better performance.

For now Vulkan is in experimental faze. But believe me this engine has amazing performance especially for open world games. It has the best graphics and performance.
I'm more interested in DX12 and draw calls increase.

DX12 is Windows only, so hopefully it won't be needed once Vulkan support in it will mature. Star Citizen developers said they are switching to Vulkan in their fork of Cry engine.
