My Saskia Cosplay

Hi!

I love Saskia for her personality, she is a strong warrior without losing femininity, and saves Geralt (yes!).

So, for I'm a armor lover, I had to make her costume. It took me three weeks, and yet I'm not fully satisfied with the result, but I will remake her costume for the most important event at my Country: Brasil Game Show.

I hope CDPR is there!

Here is the cosplay, after all the hard work:

And that is the hard work photos:

Thanks!

Respect !

I can see that a lot of work and passion went into making this costume.
And if your remake of it will be as amazing as your first attempt (or even better !) you can wear it with pride at the BGS.

Oh and thank you for including work in progress photos !
I always wondered how a costume like this is being made and what effort it takes to make them look so cool.

Thank you for sharing this, it rocks~

Extraordinary works, indeed! Congrats

Saskia charactaer is one of the hardest to cosplay.

To fit this armour in a real human body it's a big challenge which you dare to do it. And you did it!

Congrats again, and thank you so much!

Very nice! :hatsoff:

A few remarks though, if I may:
- Look into the strapping of your elbow guards. They seem to tend to slide down your arm. Not what an armor lover wants to happen. :)
- Reconsider the length of the breastplate and chainmail underneath (or, at second sight, did the breastplate slide down, as well?). Especially with those little shield thingies dangling there, it looks off.
- The gambeson could use a bit of work on the details. I guess that's just an issue of a first version, though. :) And it could look a bit thicker and stiffer, but I don't know if that's possible with normal cosplay methods or how cosplayers usually handle gambesons.

Making Saskia's armor work in real life is hard. Making it look like armor, be functional and slim-fitting at the same time seems nearly impossible - I'm not sure if her armor design is realistic enough for that. So respect for choosing this project!

I hope I don't come across as overly critical. My intention is not to trivialize your efforts and achievement, but to give constructive criticism! Keep at it!

That's some great and dedicated work there! Not a pro myself, so I don't have any real feedback apart from I think it already looks great, looking forward to the next iteration.

We haven't officially revealed all our travel plans for this year, but we are not forgetting about Brazil, so don't worry! :)

Thank you for the dedication and the support!

Thank you so much!
My boyfriend and I officially started to remade Saskia! He is making a new sword and shield for me, as I am dedicated to reforming other parts that ended up being too big or small, in addition to drawings of her blouse and many other details that I now have time to do. Thanks for the recognition!

Hi!

No harm done, I like to hear critics so I can improve myself!
Some details regarding your questions, just for curiosity:

- Look into the strapping of your elbow guards. They seem to tend to slide down your arm. Not what an armor lover wants to happen.
Yes, the piece is loose, luckily it does not go out of my arm, but this point will be improved, I'm setting the piece on clothing so I can lift my arms without dismantling;

- Reconsider the length of the breastplate and chainmail underneath (or, at second sight, did the breastplate slide down, as well?). Especially with those little shield thingies dangling there, it looks off.
The first chainmail is awful, I know! XD I'm making a real chainmail skirt this time, I know I'll have to support the weight of the skirt, but I want to make the more perfect possible; And the other part, above the chainmail, is missing one... me and my boyfriend just simply cannot make this peace in particular to behave the way we want, but now we have heat gun, hope that this is our salvation tool!
- The gambeson could use a bit of work on the details. I guess that's just an issue of a first version, though. And it could look a bit thicker and stiffer, but I don't know if that's possible with normal cosplay methods or how cosplayers usually handle gambesons.
Gambeson - I will draw the little details between the square and add other details now that I have the time to do so.

Thank you for your point of view, I will consider this to the new Saskia :D

Ok, I respect your point of view, but sorry, I won't attend to you request.

I love making cosplay, is my passion and I don't see me not doing this anymore, it is something that is part of me already.

I know that my work can't satisfy all the people, but it satisfy me first, and that is what is important to me.

Thanks for the feedback, anyway :)
