I am a 40- something single Dad, medically disabled. My Son is 16 and an athlete. Video games have been one thing we have had in common since my son was 4 years old.

We both pre-ordered the Witcher 3 on PS/4, and were discussing video games tonight. My son and I have played many games together, including MMO's. We were discussing how one major MMO had lost touch with it's players. They feel the developers rule, customers should just suck it up. We contrasted that to CDPR

I pointed him to these forums. He was amazed how involved, and caring the developers were. His words " CDPR Is showing the US Developers how it's done." This comes from a 16 year old - he gets it!

Customers rule, not the other way around! We have cancelled our subs to the MMO, I figure we will be playing the Witcher 3 all summer long. I know its not multi-player, but our PS/4's are in the same room, and we will have many friendly competitions: who levels first, who dies least , etc


Thank you CDPR for providing My Son and i with another point of common understanding.

(We are eating popcorn, watching Netflix, counting down the time)

Very nice! My son is 5 and he recognized a Witcher 3 poster outside of BestBuy today. He said "Look daddy your game!" (he's seen me watching the YouTube reviews a bunch of times) all excited and smiling. I gotta say, I felt proud lol. Here in a few years, we'll be like you and your son

I love stories like this. CDPR is one of the few developers I still have respect for these days, to the point that I broke my 4-year-running no-preorder rule on The Witcher 3 (partly so I didn't have to sit through a four hour download on release, but mostly because I trust CDPR enough to deliver a great product)
