My thoughts on 1.07

Hey all

I was part of the first batch of forumers who waited patiently to install and try 1.07 and while things didn't sound promising at all initially, with multiple reports of the game crashing, not loading, etc... , I took the plunge and I am happy to report that I personally didn't face any problem.

The purpose of this thread is to address a bit the rage that some gamers are expressing online. While it is understandable in some way for console players who obviously can't mod or touch game files, the same can't be said for PC gamers. Half of those complaining ended up people having installed mods that just weren't compatible with 1.07. And I personally am willing to guess that changes made to the INI files which are UNTESTED and not OFFICIALLY posted by the developers could also affect the stability of the game.

And guess what people, it is NOT the responsability of the developers to test 3rd party mods and random changes to the INI files.

I still have to acknowledge those who went as far as fully uninstalling the game, their graphic card drivers and reinstall the whole thing. I wish I could write something other than "this sucks"... But this is PC gaming for you... Some cards are not compatible, drivers issues, overclocking, SLI and so on. I've been gaming on PC and consoles for nearly 25 years... Gaming on PC has always been part fun an part pulling my hair off.
Witcher 3 is a huge game. If you had any remote knowledge of programming, you'd understand what the developers have accomplished with this game. Most if not all issues will be fixed eventually. This is NOT a situation similar to Arkham Knight. It's just a mammoth of a game that simply doesn't work well on some environments. As frustrating as it might be not being able to enjoy the game as much as you'd like to, let's try to be constructive. Post the remaining issues that you have. Thank the developers for the GREAT things that were introduced in 1.07.

The situation is NOT life threatening. Gaming is I hope a HOBBY for you. Take a break, do something else if it ends up infuriating you. It's just not worth it.

Never had any problem with the game it was running soothly from patch 1.01 to 1.06 after installing the latest patch i had some strange errors, like popins the guards new craws perch sign appeared 5 seconds after i teleported there. reaching a city (novigrad, oxenfort) cause instant ctd. Rolled back to 1.06 and to my "amazement"
all the errors vanished.

i5 4670 with 8gb ram, radeon 7880. i was running the game on high with almost constant 60fps.
I use catalyst 15.5 and my sound driver might be too old, i don't believe the issues are coming from there
