My TW2 gear didn't passed into TW3

After I imported my save I couldn't find any gear of mine from The Witcher 2. The Vran Sword, Vran Armor...All non existent.

Is this a bug or the devs didn't made the gear import available?

Thanks for your help

The gear doesn't get imported into the game sadly.

Very sad, but could also be remedied with mods. I especially have a fond place in my gaming heart for a certain silver sword bestowed on Geralt by a certain lady :p

Yeah, I wouldn't hold my breath there. Not everything people want will be patched in. I think if CDProjekt would have wanted it to be in the game, it would be.

They would either be OP for the start of the game or junk by the time you got half way through.

Well, TW1 gear was not very good when imported into TW2 but it was there. In Flotsam we would find better stuff. I think the most important thing is that you see that you have carried your things, weak or useless as they are. I got several missions to get all the stuff

It also would be problematic "lore" wise. The legendary Raven armor and Moon Blade from TW1 were really pathetic in TW2 as well.

I honestly think they didn't import the items, because in TW 2 there were just too many different items and weapons and all would have to be redesigned and put into TW3.

In TW1 you effectively had only two different looking armors and a couple of different swords , that players might have had at the end of the game.

In TW 2 you had all kinds of armors, pants, boots, gloves and swords and the player might have worn any combination of those at the end of the game.

You also might have to put in the items from TW1 as well, because you never know, some people might have carried the Moon Blade around in their inventory all the time.
