Nekkers and Endregas to Craft Runes(Iorveth Path)

I just realized the 2 best runes in the game uses either 8 endrega salivas or 8 nekker hearts and i dont have much of them in act 2 (iorveth's path). So i would like to know the places i can find endregas and nekkers in the iorveth path. I never found any endregas but i did ran into almost 20 nekkers in one place, but when i approached all of them entered the earh but they never came up again so i tried meditating to different times and when i meditaded to midnight i found 2 nekker warrior and 1 nekker. So i would like to know if there is this bug of 20 nekkers appearing and disappearing and also if there is any other place with nekkers and if there is any place with endregas at all.

The bug and the 3 nekkers were in the way to the catacombs by the way...

As you pointed out, I was also able to kill about a dozen nekkers by the lakes in the forest "behind" Vergen, near the crypt. You will find endregas in Iorveth's path here, see at your own risk (spoiler warning):

When you cross the mist, you walk past the Kaedweni camp in the direction opposite to the Tower of Debauchery. One of those winding paths will take you to an area guarded by an Arachas or two, along with a handful of Endregas.

If you want to farm nekkers on Iorveth's path, the place where you ran into 20 nekkers popping out of the ground is the best place. If you trigger them, then walk too far away, they will burrow back into the ground and won't reappear. UNLESS you follow the steps in this guide, under the "Farming" section.

If you don't want to dig through the guide, I'll paraphrase it here:

1. Meditate to just after midnight (if it's already just after midnight you can skip this step).
2. Walk to the center of the path across the river leading to the forest where the nekkers are (i.e. just follow the only path across the water, then stop halfway across the river).
3. Meditate to midnight of the next day.
4. Don't go anywhere. Save and reload (quicksave works just fine).
5. Go trigger and kill the nekkers (Grapeshot bombs work wonders here). Be warned, you will run into 4-5 Harpies as well just as soon as you reach the far bank of the river. You can just ignore them and run forward; they will eventually stop following you and just fly away. Or you can take the opportunity to farm harpies if you want.

But those dozen nekkers will respawn once in a while right? Or it does appear a dozen one time and then only 2 or 3?

Like the guide I linked you to says, it happens once or twice normally. To get it to repeat (any number of times) follow the steps I posted.

I got over 30 nekker hearts by doing this 2 times 0o... It is as easy to get endrega saliva where the guy above said there was a handful of endregas?

No, there's only about 4 or 5 endregas at the place he's talking about, and salivas aren't a guaranteed drop from them (though the chance is reasonably high). If you have an option of using either salivas or hearts, just farm hearts; it's a lot faster.

Alternatively, if you just care about getting runes, the mysterious merchant in Vergen as well as one of the merchants in act 3 sell all types of runes for about 200-300 orens each. Farming stuff from Nekkers nets you thousands of orens very quickly if you sell all the hearts, claws, and eyes.

Download the Price Rebalance Mod. Runes cost only about 30 orens each then. Saves you the trouble of farming.
