If you will never get the Nilfgaard faction, join me in solidarity. If you love Nilfgaard, sorry this is not for you.

Heh. Well, I'll not join the crew, but I've no great love for the Empire. I'll leave it at that.

As an early reminder to all: Disliking the faction is fine, but insulting those who play Nilfgaard is inappropriate. So, please, take care, and keep it friendly.

Nope.

The value of GGs is overestimated whenever suggestions like this are made; GGs can be downright irrelevant because not everyone cares about them, and they only ever offer minimal resources anyway (because they're not meant to be essential).

I'm not doing this because I don't like playing the decks or anything like that. It's mostly a joke and never meant to be malicious. If you played a good game give a good game. If you didn't, don't, but I don't discriminate against players and I don't think you should either.

That being said, I'm not a huge fan of the tactics used by most NG decks. But, the biggest reason I don't like NG is because of the Witcher 3: wild hunt story lines in that I don't like Emhyr Var Emreis.

But if you are more die hard then I, may I suggest the passive boycott of the deck like I have undertaken instead of anything that might effect another player in any negative way. After all, things are hard enough in life as is, so let's try and be nice towards one another here.

What, sometimes it is fun to be the bad guy!

You can't make a good Witcher deck without all of the NG witchers. Plus the best bandit decks are either NG or SK.

A fair reason.

Nilfgaard as a whole is scummy in both the games and the books (I only like them as a card game faction), and I'm not going to deny that many of their strategies are pretty scummy in this game. Stealing and locking and putting garbage in opponents' decks, all that.

My pet peeve with NG is having 27 Viper Witchers, 16 Cantarella, a couple of Coup de Graces, and maybe a Yenn or two flung at me. I simply dont get the infatuation with trying to empty the opposing deck. I often find myself wishing there was a limit on the number of times a specific card could be played in a game

*disclaimer : the above figures may bear no relation to fact, it may just feel that way every time Viper Witchers make an appearance on the board

Indeed. Back in open beta, Mill decks were the bane of thinning and discard decks. On the other hand, Mill decks would lose against less greedy-midrange decks. Those middle of the road deck would lose against the consistency of thinning and discard. That's what I call a healthy meta.

Nilfgaard has some tool to reduce the consistency of other decks: Cynthia, Infiltrator,...
Nilfgaard has multiple tools to punish thinning: Tibor, Vilgefortz, Viper Witcher,...

However most of those cards, like Cynthia are LP.
