The grass in the demo kind of sucks, especially coming from Crysis.

Even other games have better grass, the grass just looks weird.
I get that it reacts when you move trough it, like you step on it and it bends, but I didn't see that it reacts to the monsters, and it's just not good trade off, to have ugly grass just so it can react to you.

screw grass, that's my official statement.

They put to much grass in crysis so they went in crysis
It is an open world, there must be some trade of f (game play is much important)

Personal preferences I guess, I was very...'relieved' when this was announced because I absolute hate anything that interrupts the flow of combat for a flashy animation, and you can't have a VATS like system without a slow-mo. I'll very much take something that keeps me in the gameplay all the time instead of a 'special' mode.

I get where you're coming from. I was hoping they'd at least tailor the sword moveset to perform pinpoint attacks at certain parts of the body ie locational damage, and keep that feature by turning it into a skill thing - you can either whittle down an opponent like a hack and slash, or perform risky attacks that leave you open, to dispatch foes quickly.

Damn, I did not know Crysis was an open world game with no loading inside its 3 big regions.^^

Then would it be feasible to ask for a demonstration of the PC UI, please? Don't get me wrong - the UI as of right now looks okay (way better than Witcher 2, at least) but I would love to see how it would look like if I was using M+KB.

Rest assured we will show it. Can't tell you exactly when though - sorry:(

Wow so it's a PC and it looks... good at best?! I hope it was running on Medium/High, but if that's what Ultra looks like then this is a big letdown for me personally. Dragon Age Inquisition looks a lot better (and im not even a fan of that game) - guess it's because they are actually using the newest build to showcase the game, not the dusty E3 demo builds like CDPR do...

So far the only title that looks trully next-gen to me is the Arkham Knight... That game looks absolutely stunning compared to anything else.

Are you even fucking serious man. Please tell me you are joking.

Are you comparing Benchmark: The Game 3, with overdone high grass and nothing else in there to Witcher 3's, which frankly is perfect - dense, but not overdone, reacting to your movement in a realistic manner.

Sometimes I dream to join the CDPR, but when I read this thread and comments like this, I would rather not. Having to read this stuff daily and see people whining about the most obscure stuff - not posting feedback - just complaining, "it isn't like Skyrim", "it isn't like Crysis". It would be excruciating.
And people are wondering, why REDs seem to avoid posting on forums if they don't have to. Yeah.

I thought I'm nitpicky, with my lore and being faithful to the books, but some of you people are on another level.

I noticed some annoyances in this video like:
The chicken seems to block Geralt and then he made an animation as if he bumped into a wall.
Some weird and awkward animations.
Horrendous FPS.

But I have complete fate in CDPR to optimize these things before the game launches.

Oh wow master race you made shead a tear.
I think the grass sucks, especially at low angles you're not really supposed to be looking at it. The developers said they aren't discouraged by criticism even on the forums. That's my feeedback , deal with it.

That's not even feedback that's just pettiness for the sake of complaining. The grass is the last thing that's going to get changed so deal with it. :p

People post their concerns because they are concerned about the product that they spend their money on. Shut up with this nonsense about ppl whining. I read most of the comments and most of those are serious comments that adresses a lot of technical isues with the game. It's confirmed that this demo was running on a PC, not on a console but a freakin PC... And guess what - that's even worse because the game looks nothing like in some of the trailers, u can see huge amount of problems like ridiculousy low fps, screen tearing/shuttering, terrible textures from up-close, mediacore voice acting and more.

Don't even mention Crysis 3 - because Witcher 3 don't even look as good as Crysis 3 on Medium/High settings. As a PC build - it looks messy as f*ck.

I don't think it's petty especially when the entire forest area was covered with weird looking grass. It can make or break the scenery / atmosphere depending on well it's made.

No worries, as long as it is present and functional (and hopefully not fullscreen), I'm okay with it.

just because it is running on a pc doesn't necesarily mean it is the pc version of the game. And do keep in mind that this is the same built showen at E3 and that was done a few months before E3.
and for the love of god where have you ever seen a game that has the grafics/visual fidelity of a trailer or cutscene?

E3 demo is not an excuse, for some reason other companies care to show their latest build and let ppl know what's been improved/fixed.

"and for the love of god where have you ever seen a game that has the grafics/visual fidelity of a trailer or cutscene?"
- are u fking serious? Ammm where do I start...

Oh good Lord spare me!
This will be the only post i'll leave in this thread and maybe the forum for quite a while, because i'm sick of all this negativity. But fine, dude we will not "shut up with this nonsense"
What you're doing is not voicing concerns and discussing stuff in a constructive manner for the sake of making the game better and helping CDPR, it's fucking spreading your bullshit destructivity everywhere.
First of all, i seem to fail how people are so goddamn obsessed with graphics. we got a new bit of gameplay, wich we should be damn happy about because it's awesome but "hell now, the graphics are shit"
Yeah the game may not look like in the trailers, it's a fucking early build, deal with it. Also i fail to see this huge amount of problems that you mention here, there are no terrible textures and no mediocre voice acting at all. It's not messy as fuck!
If you're so fond of all these other games that can do it much better why don't you go play them instead.
I'm out
bye

Could we stop, please? You've made your point, the game's not as pretty as you thought it would be, there's no need for a flame war. That being said, I agree that there are a couple of games that look more 'next-gen' when it comes to graphical fidelty and animations, but I'm sure TW3 will still be (and it is already) a sight to behold.
