I just made a WebM highlighting the warewolf transofrmation. I just find this teribly impresive, it's rare for ingame models to change shape like that.

Hope it works:

Do you mind ffmpeg crf20'ing the HQ footage? I have pathetic internet 1.3GB download for a video is just not feasible for me. Pretty sure it was you who did it last time.

Makes me think of the lycans/half-breeds they've shown in The Order: 1886. Model transformations are extremely impressive with the technical work that goes into them.

It's been said but yeah, the atmosphere is there, so thank you devs!!

The funny thing is that I dreamt of playing Witcher 3 last night. This gameplay didn't look much like my dream though. No wonder, because unfortunately instead of actually playing the game I spent almost the entire dream in options configuring controls. ^_^ So what does this say? Six months away I'm already worried I won't be able to config my keyboard controls as I want them. And yeah, I'm also so hyped I actually dream of Witcher 3. Didn't we have a thread about this some time ago? ::)
Oh well, six months ain't so far off now, but then again I got a lot of games to keep me busy until February comes along.
Oh, and congrats on your birthday @Autumnal Wanderer! :fun: Egészségedre!

On it, though i should point out that my connection isn't very good either (at least as far as upload goes) so it may take some time for me to upload it.
I'm assuming MEGA is fine?

Technically it's looking fantastic. Them water physics...O_O

My only complaint is that the sword animations are samey, not the variety we got in TW1 or TW2. He shouldn't have to spin around for every other strike.

I agree, when he approached the werewolf for the first time it doesn't make any sense to spin, he should've jump-stab or something. Ironically, TW3 supposed to have like 4x more combat animations compared to TW2. I guess the strikes are randomly chosen by the game.

This bothers me aswell. I thought they said they had like 90 different sword animations. Not seeing that here. Animations in general still need some work. Other than that it looks amazing.

Oh come on its in the game they are not going to show us all 96 or so in a 5 min clip. That would spoil shit man wtf? ;)

They did say anims would be *mostly* random, maybe certain distance gives certain set from which random is chosen. Also, maybe they come with upgrades.

The combat is so freaking awesome! One thing i notice it seems to lack Ambient Occlusion. Put it in and you will have awesome visuals! I can't wait for this. And the slow motion wheel is back. Bad for PC gamers :(

There's another thing i notice is that Geralt looks much more plump or the other NPC as well. They look kinda bloat their face. If you get what i mean.

The game looks excellent, but I wish they'd give us a better source video file and take the footage at 60fps, no problem for me, but it won't impress non-fans as much.

And to everyone who says "they still didnt fix this or that", do you realize this is almost surely the same build from E3? because making those builds is terribly expensive and gamescom is only like 2 months away from E3? We are seeing the same game version, but different footage, keep it in mind, all the things you didnt liked from before are supposed to be there, even the E3 build was likely months old when it was showed.

There is only one last thing I want to know about the game.
Can somebody please tell me whether there will be an option to turn off battle music like we could in TW1? I remember enjoying my favorite soundtracks while slaying monsters without being interrupted by loud banging obnoxious music.

I couldn't play TW2 with music most of the time because I prefer either ambient music or no music at all in my games.

Thanks!

Man, the video is origianly suprisingly well compressed:

Format : AVC
Format/Info : Advanced Video Codec
Format profile : Main@L4.2
Format settings, CABAC : Yes
Format settings, ReFrames : 3 frames
Format settings, GOP : M=4, N=60
Codec ID : avc1
Codec ID/Info : Advanced Video Coding
Duration : 5mn 55s
Bit rate : 30.0 Mbps
Width : 1 920 pixels
Height : 1 080 pixels
Display aspect ratio : 16:9
Frame rate mode : Variable
Frame rate : 60.000 fps
Minimum frame rate : 60.000 fps
Maximum frame rate : 60.060 fps
Standard : NTSC
Color space : YUV
Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0
Bit depth : 8 bits
Scan type : Progressive
Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.241
Stream size : 1.24 GiB (99%)
Language : English
Encoded date : UTC 2014-08-13 08:45:51
Tagged date : UTC 2014-08-13 08:45:51
Material_Duration : 355615
Material_StreamSize : 1332628636
Material_FrameCount : 21337

After all it's 6 minutes and at 60fps. I tried going with 30 but this butchers the video making it look like the stuttery Youtube mess, ultimately the only thing that helps is droping the bitrate a bit.

After some fooling around i've cut down the bitrate to 24Mbps but ultimately the drop in size is small. The video size is still ~1GB

the difference in quality though is almost imposible to notice

I'm uploading now but i'd really recommend just downloading the original file, you may download it faster than you would by waiting for my upload

Don't know if anyone noticed but after killing the Werewolf you can see how he's glowing - kinda like an option to make a cinematic kill/finisher like in W2 on the stunned NPCs?

I think that is because he is still under the influence of the silver potion that stopped his transformation/regeneration ability during the fight.
