1002.
There's a lot which hasn't been discussed, like,
Why is the girl wearing MAC make up?
I say let's make it to 2000.

My friend, let me put my argument to your points. See the logic and tell me if you disagree. The soldiers accused the woman. Geralt does not know whether they were true or not. They were tormenting the woman to death. That is inhuman. You talked about international tribunals. Stoning a criminal to death is wrong. Death itself is the punishment. Death from torment is wrong, that is why a lot of the old execution methods are banned today. Geralt saw this as injustice and he acted. He aarded the soldier, but he knew they would attack him with the intent of killing him so he acted in self defense and killed them.vivaxardas said:Yes, I am fine with sparing her a torment. The discussion above was about a general principle, and whether it is warranted to make claims about certain matters without proper justification.
As I see it, a general problem with this trailer is that you can take any perspective you want, and it is still problematic, either concerning Geralt's behavior, a choice he makes, an absence of choice, or a message behind the trailer that presents TW3 in rather undesirable for me light. We'll see how it eventually plays out, but I would really want to get more info from the devs.
...and 900 of those replies are me talking about Ciri. Probably.GeraltofCyrodiil said:OMG 1000 replies.
Yes, he let her go because he has not seen her perform a monstrous act. He has no right to judge unless he sees her do it?vivaxardas said:Ahh, actually, fo me it was never about killing the soldiers, it was about letting a cannibalistic marauder go. He killed some monsters, and let another out of his cage? This is just one of the perspectives.
Anyway, we spent a lot of time on this, and made it to 1000 posts. This debate looked at different perspectives we could take on this trailer. Just read what people posted. It is interesting, a lot of posts are well thought-out from both sides of this argument. It is not adversarial because we are not in a court of law. Just a discussion among friends.

I guess Lahiri didn’t mean that Geralt would kill him BUT he would revenge the death of Vesemir. If I understood correctly.ColIsengrim said:Why would Geralt kill him? Nah, Vesemir is his mentor, he gave him name ( in a way ), like an crazy killing uncle that he never had ( and father ).
You are aware this is The Witcher we are talking about?Tasir said:No, just no…
I really-really hope nobody will die in TW3 or at least we can help/save our friends. :/
Yes. And I know that there will be death, of course. But - as I said - I do hope we will be able to help our friends (some of them), at least.slimgrin said:You are aware this is The Witcher we are talking about?
I never meant that Geralt will kill him, that would have no logic at all. Tasir is correct, what i meant is that Geralt will avenge his death.I think it would give a "never feel safe" vibe about the characters in the game, making things more interesting, just like G.R.R.Martin books (which are as good as Sapkowsky's, in my opinion).ColIsengrim said:o.0'
No.
Hell, no.
Why would Vesemir die? He is old, experienced and deadly as every witcher. Why would Geralt kill him?
Nah, Vesemir is his mentor, he gave him name ( in a way ), like an crazy killing uncle that he never had ( and father ).
Dandy is marvelous in the books. He challenges Geralt, keeps him honest. He can go from comedic to sincere in a single paragraph. I wish CDPR would bring more of this into the games.KnightofPhoenix said:Am I horrible for kinda wanting Dandelion to die?
I couldn't agree more. Dandelion's personality and relashionship with Geralt are away better in the books and not very much explored in the games.. Which is kinda odd since Dandelion is Geralt's best friend. I hope CDPK changes that with W3.slimgrin said:Dandy is marvelous in the books. He challenges Geralt, keeps him honest. Doesn't he do that in TW1 to a degree at least?slimgrin said:Dandy is marvelous in the books. He challenges Geralt, keeps him honest. He can go from comedic to sincere in a single paragraph. I wish CDPR would bring more of this into the games.
