I just watched the video and have to thank you for posting this. I also watched the presentation and there I noticed some minor news.Gop said that the same swordmasters that were helping with TW1 animations are working with CDPR on the sequel too. Also I think that all the characters that were presented in the character section are possible companions (at least for some quest/fight or some part of a game). I base this on the statement of the elf that was waiting before the inn, where he said he's from Iowerth's unit(so there's a possibility to team up with Iowerth - which was probably obvious).

Well there were just few news, most of the time he talked about the development that the game went through (like the start of TW1 and so on). He also mentioned that the world can't be the same as in books, because for example in books, the witchers are avoided by normal people and generally looked down on (which would be a problem in the game because he wouldn't get any quests), and that Geralt can't be, well Geralt ,because then he would choose(for examle) neutral path, so there would be no roleplaying(not sure if I understood that right). There was also little about Zoltan, that they had to improvise a little because there isn't much about his look in the books, but he will use sword as he did and there will probably be some sidestory involving Eudora Breckenriggs (his loved one).

Awesome video, thank you very much. But I thought there would be not nay kind of loading screens, not that I saw one but when going in and out of the inn there is some 'black' screen moment that looks like a disguised loading :/

I reply to myself, but I was right, there is a black screen moment when going in, in the inn at least, here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAIdMwblsqw&feature=player_detailpage#t=48sIt is a loading in disguise or a pre-beta thingie? I vote for the first one and it has the same purpose than that small cave before getting to the lake and the forest, giving the engine time to streaming the forest or the city when going back ;D I don't mean it is a bad thing, tricks are good when they are for good.

It is nice to see some improvement on the animation department but they still have to work on the faces, the movements still look a bit artificial. I really hope that the arm wrestling game is not finish because it look really bad neither of them seem to be doing anything, they look like they are just handshaking winch other.

I suspect it's a trick too (but not a bad one) perhaps it will be better hidden in the final game. I've seen similar done before, but they're often more obvious about it with a lot of redundant doors or windy passagesI hope you can turn off the indicator to tell you that stuff's loading in the background. that's on of the first things I modded about Oblivion, their little 'loading....' message when you were wandering around outside and stuff was loading in the background....

There was a long section of the video where the quest section of the journal was open. Was Mr. Gop giving the background of the quest there or saying something about the journal? One of the things that made me love TW1 was the journal; I thought the way they implemented it made the game focus much more on gameplay and much less on writing down every piddly detail. So I'm very interested in what the journal for TW2 will be like. If Mr. Gop is talking about the journal in that section of the video, would anyone who speaks the language be willing to tell us what he was saying about it?Thanks!

In the video you can barely see what is the text but it is readable with a lot of leaning to the monitor. It looks like Dandelion wrote it.I don't know if it is ony for the succubus quest because they did not click on the Mano a Mano:vergen.

He's saying that they changed the journal a little, it's no longer go to the cave and kill 10 Echinops. Now it is like a diary entry written by Dandelion, and they want to implement a feature, where at the end of the game you can print this diary and it will form a real book. Also everyone's will be different (obviously), depending on which side you take you might not even visit place like Vergen. They also added support for sharing these stories through social media(facebook was mentioned, but it will probably support others too)

Watched through the whole thing. Amazing stuff! First, i gotta say they've nailed Geralt's look, it looks exactly like him, but a lot more detailed - like the first game's intro. The facial and body animations are also greatly improved. The fistfighting is also great - very fast and brutal, not just two characters performing generic punching animations at one another.I was happy to see the paraphrases in the dialogue choices are quite to the point and won't be confusing. Similar to TW1 characters exchange quite a few lines at a time, navigating the conversation very naturally.Combat looked a lot more impressive than anything till now. Very fluid attacking, blocking, parrying (by both Geralt and NPCs) and no excessive rolling needed. Can't wait to get my hands on Insane mode. The idea with your playthrough piecing together a piece of literature by our own Dandelion is also a nice addition. Like that novel that comes with the GoG version of Planescape: Torment.Really, May 17 can't come soon enough.

I like how Tomasz Gop gets ready at the start, like watching a concert pianist getting ready to play Beethoven.

Huh, Geralt's face seemed like the old one to me. Is the grandpa Geralt version for the box-art only?

Actually, around the 19:00 mark, you can notice changes to his face. I think this one is the closest to Geralt's face in The Witcher 1.
