There's Legendary Witcher Gear.
For new quests or boss, I've no idea but I don't think there'll be.

Its pretty much the same game. Same witcher gear (now its called legendary) and you find them in the same places.
Some people say that monsters are harder on NG+, but I didnt really notice any difference.

They definately have more sign and status resistance. This i've tested.

Seems likely they would also have more damage resistance/health/attack. Which it feels like it to me, but haven't tested.

Why should I try NG+?

As the title says, I wish to know what NG+ has to offer to my game experience.
In short, why should I play it?

Nothing new.I am at level 70, you cant get anymore xp above that.
Highest level gears are 70. Legendary mastercrafted gear at level 64.

Yes. NG+ is the last option you choose when starting a new game, after difficulty and TW2 save import/simulation.

Thanks for confirming! I'll check later if NG+ is available for me already. Just updated my Wolven Gear to Mastercrafted so I'm hoping to bring that into NG+.
Can't wait!

sorry if this has already been asked and answered,i've been trying to sign into the forum for a few days but had problems for some reason.

i read an interview about new game + (that i can't find now) and the quote went something like "you can only use new game+ once" which can be taken one of two ways,so which one is right please ?

1-you can only use new game+ once and after finishing that you can't restart on that save.

2- you can keep going round infinitely but the enemies and loot will only level up once.

anyone know ?

You can do a New Game + as many times as you want from your original save (providing you don't overwrite it). You can't however do a New Game + from another New Game + save.

so you can only really go round once then.that's disappointing for me,i probably won't bother then unless i end up buying the dlc (still undecided yet) and complete the whole thing.

thanks for the reply though.

I just found diagram for mastercrafted wolven silver sword and in chest there was diagram for Legendary NG+ version (level 59) but also for the base NG version (level 34). But I also found diagram for legendary superior ursine steel sword and there was only NG+ diagram, no basic NG version. And strange thing, it was level 60, superior version higher than mastercrafted wolven silver sword. Does it mean witcher gears in NG+ of different schools are set to different levels?

You're welcome, I did my first play-through on Blood and Broken Bones until about halfway through at which I bumped it up, so I'm doing NG+ on Death March from the get go for the achievement. So far it seems harder than the latter part of the game on a normal play-through.

How did you get to Level 70?! I mean where did you farm monsters to get to that level?

I just started NG+ on death march and the bandits (humans) are the worst. Hahaha! But I'm enjoying it though. Very challenging!

Have a question with relates to both NG+ & the forthcoming DLC packs.

Firstly - anyone know if the DLC packs in anyway follow on from events that took place during the main game? The reason I ask is that if you do a normal game run-through & then a NG+ run-through, but choose different paths (Yennefer over Triss for instance), will that be reflected in the DLC - or are they completely stand-alone?

I ask because in the original game (which I'm about 95% through), I've chosen Triss (couldn't get that Elven Baths memory out of my mind! :) ), so when I do the NG+ game, I'll likely choose Yennefer instead (as well as many other alternate options).

Here's what you do:

You get 6 greater igni runestones and you add them to the mastercrafted feline armor. That alone will make igni badass. Then you learn the whole igni branch. You make sure you store everything in a the storage-chest so you're as light as possible. Use arachas decotion (Reduces damage received based on armor and inventory weight: less weight carried and lighter armor means less damage is taken.)
To boost it even more learn the "cat school techniques".
Im pretty much superman using this setup. Started NG+ late last night.

Besides having Igni all the way I also have Quen fully upgraded (but not the alternate mode). I also made sure I have 247 max toxicity so I can use 3 dections at the same time. Pretty bad-ass setup and totally different from what I usually have.

Why aren't you using Quen shield? It's one of the best skills in the game, IMO. Much more effective than the regular Quen ability.

Quen shield is for noobs. I have 5 superior swallows and 3 white raffard decotions so why would I wanna mess around with the shield? And this is about how many slots you have to fill. So I dropped the quen-shield to make room for mutation. Totally worth it buddy.
