Difficult to tell. Need more information about what "unable to start" means.I am unable to start a NG+ even though I have completed the main story and am level 35, my concern is that I think I may have the bugged nameless quest, could this be the problem?
I finished the 1st playthrough at level 40 did everything 100% (second hardest difficulty). How did you get to Level 70?! I mean where did you farm monsters to get to that level?
I just started NG+ on death march and the bandits (humans) are the worst. Hahaha! But I'm enjoying it though. Very challenging!
Thanks! I finished my first playthrough at Level 36. Haven't finished all the side quests though. I dislike playing Gwent and some of the quests bugged out on me. I'll definitely try your approach.I finished the 1st playthrough at level 40 did everything 100% (second hardest difficulty).
Second playthrough I only did as many quests as to get the best griffin gear, since I knew those were the only difference.
Since I already did everything and did not see any point on doing the very same things again (for more than 100 hours) I thought I will only be leveling.
First I started with drowners under water about 30 xp I think each.
Then on skellige Isle, where the cyclops is at the mountain top, on each side of that area there are groups of harpies, killing 7 of them gave about 250 xp.
Meditate 1 hour they are there again. I leveled to 50 using this.
Then I killed the lvl 60 cyclops a few times but took too long, so started killing Basilisk ( level 62 I think) near Destroyed Bastion.
With this I gained 5 more levels. After that they did not give any more xp than 20, so I tried out the Path of Power xp bug in the game, which helps you gain 1 level in 5 minutes![]()
Do you have 1.08.2 installed? If so, you should immediately get a message when you start up your save that you can do NG+. Then save. Then start new game. When I go to start a NG+ I do everything as should, (manual save, start new game, select difficulty, select save setting) and then a new game simply starts, there is no option after selecting which save setting to use which would give me the choice of starting NG+

no, it still tells 1.08According to the COG galaxy app that I use to run witcher 3 it is version 1.08.2 installed, but on the main menu it only says 1.08, does yours says 1.08.2 in the main menu?

Try loading save, then resaving and using that save.Solved I hadn't activated NG+ as part of the DLC's, the game was up to date but I had to configure from the COG Galaxy app to run NG+........ and now my current game is apparently not completed! Which I think is down to the bug in the "Nameless" quest![]()
I've read this several times now... but didn't encouter it by myself (or just didn't notice). It might be because of the update but I often have finishers not working properly, people touching their throats instead of Geralt performing an execution. Before I updated the game and downloaded NW+ this only occurred sometimes when I was using whirling but now it happens like every second time when it's supposed to trigger a finisher... Very annoying, since I really like those animations...
Has anyone made a similar experience?
Thanks for your reply.I've read this several times now... but didn't encouter it by myself (or just didn't notice).
Maybe another "console only" bug... or i'm just blind (which could be the case).
Sadly bugs within DLCs get somehow neglected for consoles (skelliges most wanted). Thanks for your reply.
If it's been mentioned several times already, lets hope it catches CDPR attention and they fix it with the next patch.
Relieved I'm not the only struggling with this.
I never would've installed the patch in the first place if I didn't need it for NW+
You seem to know more than me in that regard.Sadly bugs within DLCs get somehow neglected for consoles (skelliges most wanted).
For PC there is a fixed version available for weeks now.
My guess is, it's got something to do with the patch policy of MS/Sony.
If a developer has to pay for every new version on their servers, they are less eager to upload "minor" changes.
But like i said, that's only my guess... i don't know much about consoles![]()
