So confused. I have finished game . Main plot line and most not all side quests, installed New Game plus, go to play it with last manual save game in Kaer Morhen (after finishing game) , and it says that game is not finished when i try to start new Game plus with that save . huh? Does game need to be 100% complete ?

load your savegame -> you will get a message box.
save the game and use THIS to start a NG+

Edit: and make sure you have version 1.08.2 of the game.

WHAT? For all I care this game might've been called 'The Gwenter 3: Wild Gwent'. :p

No, in all seriousness, it disturbs me how much I like gwent. In my first playthrough I didn't like it either and never bothered. But in my second (NG+) playthrough I'm basically a Gwent cracksuccubus, needin' a fix everytime I see the merchant icon appear on my map. And boy, do people suffer if he don't play and give me what I want...

I did not see Letho the first time. Which option should I choose in ng +?
Simulating or not simulate the savegame the witcher 2?

This had been asked, but Im not sure it really got answered.

So whats the deal with the places of power giving out ability-points in NG+?
That would make total sense if it opened up new mutagen-slots so we could have even better and more complicated combos.

Yeah looks like it. But it would totally make sense if they added two more branches with 3 ability-slots in each plus the one mutagen-slow per branch. Idk its just really strange that they didnt do that shit.

Because it would be totally OP. But if you want it, there's a mod which activates all learned skills...

First of all Im playing on PS4 and even if I could use that MOD I would not.
But thats why Im wondering why every place of power still gives you ability-points? For what if not to open up more slots?

NG+ is all about adapting your build to the situation at hand. So the additional skill points can be used for exactly that - acquire more skills, then mix&match to be ready for the next monster. I actually like the gameplay with NG+ a lot more than on my vanilla run - you are an experienced Witcher and you have options, for basically everything. It's not that you run around killing everything with one blow, but you have the means to wear down the toughest monsters by making use of all your different skills.

I agree. It would be OP. I would'nt mind if they added more skills. But keep the skill slots at 12. The game is already easy enough. I have'nt started new game+ yet. Some people say it's still easy. Surely later on in the game it should feel tougher,because we already have everything except new gear. Just hope the new gear is'nt OP as well...I expect it is though.

Yes, no point in more slots, I have a maxed out Igni build with Legendary Mastercrafted Griffin Gear, even when I was low level in my first playthrough I could kill higher level enemies easily (on second hardest difficulty).

Well I play the hardest mode allways and its still easy. I would totally like it if they opened up more slots, but made it harder. WAYYYYY harder.

Usually I play every game on hardest too, but I knew this game would need at least 100 hours of my time to get through, so I did not want to spend hours on one difficult enemy in the beginning.

Its easier than you think homie. Trust me. I never had problems with B&BB

I have a perfect build for my playstyle since before NG+. And it's working wonderfully in NG+ as well. Feline armor with skills for fast attack dmg, crits and instant death plus few other combat abilities. Now at level 50 I have like 32 skills points available. Any suggestions? Will expansion give us more slots? DM always. BTW, I'm on my 6th playthrough, always trying different paths and game is still amazing after 688 hours. =)

This build has helped me a lot in NG+ only time I died is accidentally walking off a cliff :facepalm: so far I am at Novigrad.

Question: do you need to have mastercrafted armor from the previous save in ordrer to improve upon them in new game plus?
