No. But it's good to craft them before starting NG+ so they carry over and you can use them straight away.

Well I play the hardest mode allways and its still easy. I would totally like it if they opened up more slots, but made it harder. WAYYYYY harder.

How do you make a game that's pretty easy once you've gotten the mechanics for it down harder? One hit kills would make it much harder. It'd be like Ghost N' Ghouls, you can only get hit once but if you get hit consistently you die. First hit with Quen, the second hit equals your death. I'd try it out but damn that would be a challenge. I don't know if I could do it with the level 1 starting equipment, definitely would beat it with upgraded witcher equipment.

Question: do you need to have mastercrafted armor from the previous save in ordrer to improve upon them in new game plus?

No. You find Legendary version of them - normal, enhanced, superior and mastercrafted - in the same locations and the regular game and need only the crafting materials to craft them.

Ok been playing NG+ up till about crossroads, and some things are really annoying me.

- Sword hit sounds seem to play half the time, or don't sound like cuts, but some dull sound. Is this a bug?
- Fighting humans has a lot of wonky stuff going on. Like them falling, but instantly getting up, and other things like sounds not going off, it just seems off suddenly.

Anyone else noticing this stuff?

No, you will start from scratch ( Legendary normal ->legendary enhanced->leg. superior->leg. mastercrafted)

Okay, a quick question. Can you import a new game+ story complete save? I've accidently overwritten the save I used to start my current NG+ playthrough, so I'm really concerned if I'll have to start just a new game next time i want to replay the game.

P.S. This game really needs to keep saves from different playthrough seperate, like most games do nowadays... Sigh.

Question about black Nilfgaardian horse

Sorry if this has been posted before. If on the first playthrough, you choose to not to accept the coin reward from emhyr and get a black horse, will this black horse carry over to the new game plus playthrough?
