By swapping mods around since you are only stuck with one mod, I have made a lazer. I went from the crush mod to the counter weight mod. I can now empty the entire clip in about 2 seconds with almost zero spread and my speakers do not know what to do. Each round is also doing about 5k damage. Even though the weapon doesn't tell me that. It just says -1.49 attacks per second. Yes. That is negative attacks per second.
