I just noticed in this picture
( Its the same location as in the gamespot video) that it has much more darker tone to it and it is not so colorfull as in the gamespot video... and thats very nice change because for me the world in witcher must be dark and scary place ...

Unless they've doctored all these screens, which seems incredibly unlikely, then whatever video capturing device gamespot was using sucked, because the game looks way better (darker like you said) then that video.

Might as well just be day and night cycle - darker pictures were taken at later in-game hours ;)

temerian captain facing off against evil temerian captain imo.http://www.kaermorhen.ru/modules/Gallery/Files/screeshots_w2/TheWitcher2-AssassinsofKings_Multi_Editeur_093.jpgthis one looks like geralt's climbing into the top of a belfry and will participate in a castle storm.http://www.kaermorhen.ru/modules/Gallery/Files/screeshots_w2/TheWitcher2-AssassinsofKings_Multi_Editeur_096.jpg

Hrm, it seems some of these images have been doctored--even minutely. For instance:

Regarding the recent interview where Gop said it was the RPG with best graphics and some recent DA2 videos, I don't think there is any doubt he was correct. The graphics in this game is heads and shoulders above that of DA2. Some of those pics look stunning! Hopefully it will look good without a beast of a PC too.

Could just be different settings and different lighting though. In any case, it's going to look great. There has never been much doubt about that. It's the consolification some of us have expressed criticism against. Which clearly doesn't include downgrading the graphics.

i think the only difference between those screenshots is the lighting effect provoked by improved day and night cycles, wich would be an outstanding achievement by CDP. by looking at these screens i reach only one conclusion: they look AMAZING!!! keep the good work guys 'cause May 17 is just around the corner... a three month away corner thats drving me insane xD

Well, I hate to be a doubting thomas, but the images look slightly doctored to me too, unnaturally sharp, especially the one of Triss. I don't mean any offense by this and I could be wrong. The game looked great months ago.

Well, about difference between screenshots - the darker one is the one included in the press pack that was recently sent to journalists. Why one site decided to tweak colors on their own - it's unknown ;)

With regard to light being the only difference between screens, if you look to the right of the archway you'll notice that in the lighter version of the screenshot the glitch present in the darker version has been corrected. Also of note is the change in intensity of the red object in Geralt's right hand.

Hm... you're right. But here comes quotation from Blooddragon, RED's Lead Character Artist:"Screens come from press-packs. Everyone were given the same. Color correction must had been done by someone, who then uploaded it. Strange. The latests screens seem not to have been modified, there are some glitches visible"http://tw1.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?topic=28193.msg5477949#msg5477949

So they sent out the darker image with the glitched texture, and someone not only changed the contrast but fixed the texture as well? That really sounds odd. I don't see how someone could have simply fixed the texture. It doesn't appear to have been cloned from another texture in the shot. Sounds iffy.

It's really simple actually.. One picture is shot by a 2 megapixel screen shot and the other one with a 10 megapixel screen shot.
