A little bit hectic but still welcome effort to summarize Witcher 1 story and present it to newcomers. I'm not sure about the lector though, there were moments I had hard time understanding him.

/awaits random "I hate TW2's flashback style" comments

Actually, I was not sure about the flashback art style presented in TW2...until now. 'Cause this looks amazing!

Ooh, at the end it said that the assassin's "cat-like eyes and medallion were unmistakable." However there was no medallion in the TW1 cinematic, and I remember someone at the beginning of TW2 (Triss?) explicitly say that the assassin had no medallion. I had assumed that he took it off in case he got caught so that Foltest would have less to go on and wouldn't find Letho.

Aye, Geralt tells Foltest in the Prologue that the assassin didn't have a medallion. They probably said this in the trailer just to implicate that the assassin was a witcher.

Otherwise, I enjoyed this video a lot.

Thats quite an info dump. but the story of TW1 is so elaborate, there's no avoiding it I suppose.

Yeah, the only reason I noticed is because I wondered if the assassin had a medallion the whole time in between finishing TW1 and waiting for TW2 to come out :p

I thought the video did a pretty good job of summarizing the main points without unnecessarily spoiling anything from TW1. I think someone who sees this video would be able to figure out what's going on in TW2, but would still have plenty of surprises if they decide to play TW1, so that's good :D

Yeah, that part seems a bit of an inconsistency. I don't remember what Triss said in the english version, but in the polish one, she didn't mention a medallion specifically, she said the assassin was not wearing a "guild sign". I shrugged it off at first, assuming she simlply didn't know the viper school and failed to recognize the vipers as a witcher's medallion, but it was a stretch, and it's even harder to swallow now.

EDIT: Bah, it was Geralt, not Triss of course. Everything else till applies.

Perhaps they modified certain scenes in the EE to accommodate for the mysterious fourth assassin? After all, he was never explained in the normal game.

But the "information overload" comment now makes some sense, doesn't it? ;)

Yeah... I felt overwhelmed... I think it was a mistake to try to summarize nearly each chapter... The story can be told in half the words, and then you'd have more time to create feeling and make it more personal (from a first person view, rather than a third person...).

This is awesome! Perfect for my friend who asked for a Witcher 1 story summary not so long ago (I also made a topic about that on this forum). I'm going to show this to him right away!

Well considering they crammed a 50-70 hour story into a 5 minute video I'd say it's pretty well done.

Actually, it was not Javed who disabled Geralt in the swamp, but the professor throwing some type of gas grenade.
At least in my play-through.

Not arguing, but you're not the target audience for this video ;)
