As far as I know, the leshen was a friendly forest ghost in the original slavic mythology, but the Christianity made it a forest daemon. In the books it is like a cat and a bear mixture. But this far more creepy and looks like an actual daemon which lives in the forest. To be honest the Hungarian mythology have a same kind of creautre as well.
Yeah that creature looks creepy as well. Generally the monster degsin is the best for me, even is I seen not too many.
