NewNetworkClient.dll

I reinstalled the game on my new computer yesterday. (Windows 8 64 bit)I have the Retail copy, not the Steam copy. I am unable to start the launcher because it says I am missing newnetworkclient.dll

Does anyone know a possible fix for this?

What game version are you on ? Is it patched to EE , 3.1 , 3.2 , 3.2 CU , 3.3 ?

I believe it has the latest patch. After I did a fresh install of the game yesterday, it almost had 10.5 gigs worth of patching. It had the EE and some patches after that. Sorry I can't give you any other information other than that.

I need to reinstall Witcher 2 anyway . I`ll see where and when the NewNetworkClient comes in but i`m pretty sure it`s in the EE patch . Back in some time after install .

Yes the NewNetworkClient.dll is in the EE patch . If you have the EE patch downloaded on your computer then reinstalling the EE patch will put the witcher 2 back to the EE before the later patches . If you had an antivirus program running at the time of patch installation that may have been the cause . Temporarily disconnect from the internet and disable antivirus program and reinstall the EE patch .

I reinstalled the the game completely and now it is working fine. Thanks for all your help!
