That "threat to humanity" thing really sounds kind of annoying, but I hope the game won't disappoint us after all. Geralt's facial hair, em, I don't like them. But since they say there will be a hairdresser in the game, I guess we'll be able to shave him and to change his haircut ))
"popielatowłosa" - a woman or girl with ash(gray) hair /> Not gray-blond. According to me, the ash hair should be rather strange and have no reference to reality. People with gray hair is unlikely to exist.
thanks, the translator of the saga of Spawoski, Jose Maria Faraldo, is a renowned historian-writer, with great knowledge of Castilian and Polish, among other languages. Personally, I lean towards this definition of ashen gray since Spawoski describes Ciri's hair color as something almost unnatural and unique. A ligh blonde is more common in northen of Europe... I think...
According to some Twitter msgs from Piotr Gnyp, a guy behind one of the most known Polish gaming sites Polygamia, the proper trailer might be coming in a few days, probably on weekend, and rather at the start of it than the end.
I disagree. Being able to continue makes it feel incomplete to me. Besides, I hope that they tie in the open world closely with the story, so that experiencing open world-ish gameplay is part of the story experience - that you feel like everything you do in the open world contributes to your final goal, in one way or another. As soon as Geralt's task is fulfilled, it shouldn't feel like there's still a reason to roam these lands and do stuff.
I don't think Geralt will die, he will continue to walk the witcher's path. Considering this will be an open world game and most probably (at least I want and strongly hope so) we could continue to explore the world after the main story is over.
I'm a fan of the bittersweet endings, and the way I have pictured it, maybe Geralt's death isn't the only option for it to go. Maybe having either Yennefer or Triss die (or even both) and then having Geralt leaving the North and continuing on his path as a monster slayer. This way, not only would Geralt have lost the two most important women in his life, but also liberated himself from all the politics of the Northern continent. He wouldn't have any interest in further delving in the North, and in the end he would allow himself to spend the rest of his days doing what he does best, killing monsters.
Of course, there always existing a choice between who dies and why is always a welcome option. And if there would possibly exist an ending where Geralt dies, maybe CDPR could follow the Red Dead Redemption route?
John dies in the end, and we are replaced with his son John as the playable character. So in TW3 case, Geralt would be replaced by Ciri. Of course, this would require for the team to record separate dialogs for Ciri, and considering the amount of quests present, could be a hard trick to pull.

friend that is a brilliant idea! Well yes it might be tricky to pull that off, but if there is an ending resulting with the death (again, this time perhaps final or who knows Geralt is the next Goku lol) that would be perfect! Actually it won't make sense for just having one possible ending with that to happen, either as I said Geralt moves on no matter what happens, or Geralt dies no matter (maybe presumably), the world reflects our playthrough ans what you mentioned in the spoiler tag becomes mandatory. Dam this idea is really exciting!

awesome! where did you find them? and yeah that is only the default armour, I don't like the default one of TW2 either, that is not something to bother about
The quote about Triss is interesting. It kind of makes you not want to save her in your play through. What's the point of telling her that you love her more than anything and then you go your separate ways? I know they leave it open that there's "still something there", but IDK how they'll weave in that choice, we'll see.
I don't know if I'd prefer the first trailer to be from Platige Image or made with in-game graphics, but I think It'll be from Platige since they have not finished polishing the engine... Depends on the date of the trailer realese I guess !
Beautifully said, Chewin. As a fan of the bittersweet endings myself, a similar scenario would be something I would "like". I do admit, I would prefer and ending where Triss and Geralt are living on a farm, but these kind of stories with an ending like this doesn't tend to be as memorable as other much bitter-sweeter ones. Geralt holding Triss' body in his arms (and perhaps crying a bit) is a scenario that I would remember forever (of course not as a happy moment).
And I like your RDR style idea. Could definitely work. And I'm sure you meant Jack right?
I really don't like "temporary" avatars. To me it's disruptive and I usually play those segments wishing I was back in my player avatar. For my 2 cents.
About other things... love the beard. I am happy that Geralt is returning to the Witcher's Path and will have an opportunity to resolve his personal conflicts. I do love the potential for a foster-father relationship to Ciri. Father-daughter stuff always gets me right in the gut.
Really looking forward to this game. My wish list includes a better PC optimization from the start, with better UI, customizable controls and less of a consolized look and feel.
