Click on the Start button, right-click on Computer and choose Properties. It will say 32 or 64-bit Operating System. 64-bit processors are separate to your operating system. Almost all of the newer ones are 64-bit, it just means they have the capability to run a 64-bit OS.Bear in mind the Service pack (SP1) is pre-release and not the final version, it's worth waiting until next year if you're not sure what you're doing.

After applying the 1.2 Patch for the Witcher...These Vista updates might help to enhance you gaming experience:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=94d790bf-1e15-46d7-923a-614e47f016c8http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=AE2F819D-C33D-48DB-A7E3-62EEF7C1F7C2http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=3FB80BB9-D832-425B-B42C-D3EB2071BBEChttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=A156E265-40FF-468E-BBA2-3D1E1929C416http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=4d611cbc-ddbb-4744-8437-76a470dcfb93&DisplayLang=en----------------------------------------------I am using Vista Ultimate 32-Bit in an ASUS Z96JS Notebook (256-512MB ATI Mobility X1600, Intel Core 2 Duo 1.66Ghz, 2GB DDR2-667Mhz RAM).If you don't mind the Classic Windows (98) look just go to:1. START>SETTINGS>CONTROL PANEL> SYSTEM>ADVANCED SYSTEM SETTINGS...2. Click on the 'Advanced' tab in the 'Systems Properties' dialog box...3. Under 'Performance' click on the 'Settings' button...4. Under 'Visual Effects' tab, choose 'Adjust for best performance' option and click 'OK'.5. Click 'OK' to close the 'Systems Properties' dialog box.Wait a while until Windows Vista adjusts your visual settings. After that your PC/Laptop would be much lean and faster than before.Try also setting your Desktop colors to Medium (16-Bit).
