Next-Gen Character Creator Features for Orion

+
1. Faction Unlocked Appearance Enhancements - I want to see tight integration with gang and corporate factions in Origin and having favor with a faction to a point can unlock further modifications to your character. For example, if I choose to invest time with Maelstrom, do their missions, choose the right dialog, etc. and unlock access to their ripperdock, I would want the character screen to have newly unlocked appearance mods for my character and their ripperdock to sell me Maelstrom cyberware that looks like what we see on NPCs in CP2077

2. Body Morphologies - Fat, thin, boney, tall, short, muscular, fit etc. This might imply that clothes are prebuilt for a single morphology or that clothes are smart enough to morph to my characters body. This is techy but important.

3. AI Ethnic Voices - If I build a VooDoo boy character (with backstory), I want him or her to sound Haitan. By 2032 when I expect to see Orion, this shouldn't be hard. It can be done pretty easy now.

4. Scar/Tattoo Designer - Let players design in-game scars/tattoos and place them anywhere on their body.

5. Modular Hair Designer - Let me create my own hair design. Let the hair have a modular structure where I can have base hair, and add bun, pig tail, etc

6. All Cyberware Has a Visible Place on My Body - If I have Jenkins Tendons, I want to see them on (or in) my characters body.

7. Visible Cyber Effects - Let all cyberware that interacts with physical world (e.g. armor) have some kind of diagetic feedback. If my cyberware is reflecting damage maybe that has some kind of visible effect, even if it's just HUD info transmitted to my optics. Armor might not be the best example, but hopefully you get what I mean.
I think CP2077 mostly does this, but some cyberware I think is just implied or the effects are lost in the RNG.

8. Cyberarms/Hands (only)/Legs - This probably goes without saying since the CP2077 modders have (mostly) done this. But Orion should at least be equal to what we have now in terms of visible cyber limbs.

Frankly CDPR games offer and I hope will still offer among the best voice acting out there, so even if I think AI will greatly advance until Orion release, I really doubt it will be able to match with "human voice actors".

For the rest, well more there are customization options, the better :)

1. Faction Unlocked Appearance Enhancements
This would be very much dependent on the overall setting/plot for the game to be honest.

As it would be predicated that we play as someone who can ally themselves with factions. Not just help them out a few times, but actively join them so they will give access to their unique cyberware.
2. Body Morphologies
The main thing that concerns this (As it has in literally every game ever) is the nature of how much work it requires to do this.

Since in order to facilitate multiple body types, developers need to create multiple versions of every clothing item in the game one for each body type. With the thing to keep in mind, that everything is already doubled when facilitating 2 genders (So even 1 additional body type means 2 additional versions of every item)
3. AI Ethnic Voices
Nah. I seriously doubt AI would ever compete with an actual human VA (To say nothing about the whole ethical aspect of replacing humans with AI)

Which would mean more restrictive options of voices, especially since CDPR tend to favour creating specific characters (While V can be aethstetically customized, it's always V who is who V is and speaks like how V speaks)
4. Scar/Tattoo Designer
Sure.

I'm surprised more games aren't doing this. The technology for applying these sorts of textures has been around for a while. Even the options for creating more complex designs has been a thing for multiple generations (I recall in some Tony Hawks games you were able to create custom icons by layering a bunch of more simple shapes into some neat designs)
5. Modular Hair Designer
Could be cool.

The only issue I could see is the nature of how hair works, with physics and the like, which would make it more complex. Often it's a choice between having nicely implemented hair physics, or having more customization.

Personally, I err on the side of preferring better physics (And hair designs that don't clip horribly with literally everything).
6. All Cyberware Has a Visible Place on My Body
This would be great. (Though, technically, not all cyberware would be visible - Either because they not suface level changes due to being things like skeleton upgrades or internal organ replacements, or because they're designed to not be visually different to normal organs like kiroshi's or the smart tattoos)

The one caveat would be, that I'd like the ability to create builds (That are viable on the hardest difficulties) that don't have to stack a ton of cyberware.

Having the option to choose between getting cyberware and becoming this cool cyborg or eschewing mods and staying more human would be ideal. That way you can create your look and still play how you want, rather than being forced to look ugly as sin because you need to grab all the cyberware you can...

I would add an option that I believe could be groundbreaking, and I would personally pay an extra $50 to have it in *Orion*: the ability to perform a full 3D scan of my body and face as a player—My Self—including details like teeth, hair, body shape, height, and body mass. Additionally, I would love to see a voice sampling feature included. This could all be enabled through equipment sent directly to my home by CD Projekt, allowing for a convenient and accurate at-home scanning process, with the equipment being returned afterward. It would take customization to an incredible level, elevate immersion, and make the experience deeply personal and unique.

How can you imagine such thing cost you "only" an extra $50? :)
