Next-gen update list of changes

No im on ps4 I was actually mid way through a playthrough as it were. I thought the update would be something you'd have to get from the playstation store or something but it just automatically downloaded it. But yea it just doesn't save it, so I have to trust the auto saves which sucks. They really only trigger if you complete a quest or fast travel.

Why do I have to adjust these everytime I load the game on ps4

I'm almost blind in one eye and nowhere near perfect vision in the other so the option to increase the size of text in subtitles is a great addition, even if I hardly use them because my ears work just fine.
It would've been nice to be able to increase the sizes of some other texts too, such as reading the various documents found throughout the game.

However, is it just me, or have the color-blindness settings for the witcher senses vanished?

No, normally it's in Menu > Settings > Game
At the very bottom (camera range exploration/combat/horse - default/close)
Below the new signs feature and camera assist during fight.
I don't ask if you really updated the game because on Xbox you don't really have the choice^^
In case you don't see them, try to clear the cache.

Tried.. but I dont see an option under Options->Gameplay.. but I see that the latest updates have been made as quick sign cast options are enabled and I see the version 4.0 as well.. but I dont see the close up combat/horse camera options..

Weird, because Series S and Series X should have the exact same game version with only some different graphic settings.
In the game tab on my side (it's in french, but the order doesn't change).
Just between "Assisted camera orientation in combat" and "automatic camera centering".

I didn’t even know that this happens - so that in a 7-year-old game after an update, an attempt to use a quick transition to another location would lead to a PC freezing
This is even cooler than Cyberpunk 2077...
I think maybe this update 4.0 was made by specialists from Netflix? The same ones who made the Nilfgaardian armor for the series.

In short, in the end it is clear that this "next-gen update" adds one quest (ordinary), some kind of easter egg with unkillable ghosts, constant performance problems and ten-minute downloads.

It's a sad sight when the game is "finished" by the "new generations of developers" who replaced the real specialists. A very sad picture.

Do I have to install the complete edition to get the update? I have the original version (in GOG) installed but it's still on 1.32 and I can't seem to find how to update it.

Manual saves dont work anymore.

Had to turn off automatic updates and select the new update to get it to download.

I want more Iorveth content(even though this has been denied a thousand of times),heck even some dialogue restoration would do more justice than simply ignoring the entire story structure of TW2.

Why wouldn't this be a good idea,considering they went through the trouble to make a crappy quest for the crappy NETFLIX series.

I am PS5 user. I have bought back in 2019 basic game Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and later addtionally all DLC includingh Blood and Wine and Stone Hearts. Unfortunatey after the update to next-gen I have only the opportunity to play basic game and cannot play DLCs that I also have bought.

Can you advice how I can play DLC on next-gen on PS5?

Updated on ps4 and my saves for my old play through were deleted. The only saves I have now are ones where I just started in Velen. Very disappointed I wasted years playing on one save, getting everything, completing every quest and building Geralt, it’s all gone
