[NG+ BUG] Guarded treasure chests cant be opened

As the tittle says alot of guarded chests in velen cant be opened for some reason.Anyone else having the same issue?

Same here, found one near Hangman's Alley yesterday, although have solved it by going to White Orchard and back. And one found today near village Lindenvale, can't loot the chest no matter what I do, also found there little XP exploit glitch.

Yepp, as soon I started new game + after an hour I found one.
Also in your video, why do you have movement controll shown?

Don't know, it always been there, I don't even notice it.

I'd bet good money this has something to do with the 1.08 "fix" for empty chests.

I based my NG+ off of a main story only run, with very few POIs even visited, and had no problems getting chests.

The one that I cant get, sure enough, is one of the only ones I opened in my first run.

I bet its running the "has this been opened yet" script, seeing that it has (from the first run) and then making it un-interactable.

I've encountered two Guarded Treasure areas where:

1. Looted everything in sight but the Guarded Treasure sign didn't fade (near the coast next to Blackbough, guarded by Drowners)
2. Chest wasn't glowing (when witcher sense was used) and couldn't be looted (hence, Guarded Treasure sign didn't fade) (near Dragonslayer's Grotto, guarded by a bear)

Not sure if this is a NG+ problem or a patch 1.08 problem

No, on my last playthrough I looted almost every chest and the same chests I can loot again, except this two.

I have the same two. First one I managed to loot by traveling to White Orchard and back.

Will probably try that traveling to White Orchard thing. Problem with OCD Witcher players, needing to explore every question mark and loot every chest

Huh, didn't think much of it, but that happenened to me as well...

Doing mainly main story in NG+ and was going to keep ?'s for later. Maybe best to let them be at this point, then. Wait for the patch to open the goodies :p

I only need withcer gear anyway...

I've encountered them as well, I kill the guarding monsters and then can't loot the chests. The icons still show as active. Odd thing is, it seems to be the same two chest others have mentioned; other guarded treasures in Velen seem to be just fine. Never had a problem with them on previous playthroughs.

Exsct same bug here. I'm in Velen on NG+ and am unable to loot:

1. Treasure chest near Hangman's Alley. (FIX: fast travel to White Orchard, travel back, loot. Should fix it.)

2. Guarded treasure near Dragonslayer's Grotto. Unable to unlock/loot/highlight with my Witcher sense. Nothing seems to work.

A quick fix patch would be nice.

I'm having the same issue on NG+ Death March. My only guess is that the guarded chest had a alchemy recipe in it and since those all rolled over to NG+ we can't interact with it.

Found two more on Skellige. One hidden treasure in up left corner of the map and other guarded treasure in up right corner of the map. Markers point on the same dead man in blue shirt in both places. Can't loot them.

Yup, also ran into this problem today in NG+, the treasure chest guarded by the bear is not lootable (and is also not highlighted by using witcher senses).

@PillarBiter If your planning on getting Wolf school gear, you're in for a surprise.
