NG+ item lvl scale is screwed. Items/crafts with over lvl 100 requirement?

I don't particularly mind either way.

There are those that don't do grey quests because it rewards only 1 xp (in DM). I do them for the story, Some don't like it. I just speculate that some won't like doing lot's of quests at level 100.

I would like that could block the entire 100 level . but more importantly levels of enemies, then if you want no longer an option to raise the level of enemies within the game. but it should level out all at the same level .

Is there any point in levelling up after Level 100 anyway? You must have far more skills than you can use. What does it actually get you? If it's just more points for HP and so on, and the monsters are also levelled up, then there isn't really that much difference between being a Level 99 Geralt fighting a Level 99 monster and a Level 110 Geralt fighting a Level 110 monster.

Anyway, I'm not personally going in at extremely high levels, so I've no real preference on how they fix it, I'd just like to see it fixed.
That's basically what I was alluding to.

Lock everything to level 100 - quests, items, enemies, etc. Most of the issues detailed in this thread are because the level system allows for beyond 100, whereas Geralt remains stuck at 100. So either allow us to go beyond 100, or lock everything and everyone that isn't Geralt at 100 period. Problem solved.

I do hope CDP are still reading this thread.

The equipment and enemy levels are the ones that really matter. Quest levels *should* be fixed too, just for consistency (and because it's dumb having quests with an "impossible" recommended level), but they don't actually affect much.

If you're already at Level 99, the quest level doesn't matter - you're not going to get usable XP from it whatever it says. And the "recommended level" has never really been that much of an indication of difficulty, especially in NG+.

And I'm getting more and more pessimistic about this...

I'm just about to start Something Ends, Something Begins on my "By The Rules" NG+ playthrough, and I'm on Level 88 from a Level 53 start. That means I'm levelling up at exactly the same speed as with the base game, where a similar playthrough would be on level 34 or 35 at this stage. It's still looking as though I should be finishing on Level 106 after playing HoS and B&W, so I'm getting very dubious about not hitting that cap.

(And if I do, I stand as much chance against Detlaff as I would in real life)

It just really sucks that there is an obvious problem but CDPR refuses to acknowledge it let alone fix it

They have acknowledged that level 53 to start ng+ is fine, and in the forum have said they are looking at it for people who achieved a higher level.

There is one thread where a cdpr support person repplied in email that they won't

Conflicting info, but I don't buy it.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the "conflicting replies" go back to this being an undocumented change. Not just for us, but for the tech support staff too. There seemed to be a lot of initial misunderstanding about how a player could possible reach these levels without using mods.

Hopefully, we're past that now, but I'd still urge console users and any PC user who didn't use mods to submit a formal report if you encounter the problem. Just to drive home that this affects those of us who play "as CDPR intended".

I'm just continuing with my absolutely-average playthrough to see what happens. Then I backup the savegames, submit another report (one already done for the crafting screen), and abandon the playthrough. (I'm in double-digits now, I can afford to throw it away if I need to).

Me too. And while I still think that NG+ has some real problems, I always was a stubborn person... And by no means I'm throwing away my Level 69 Geralt, with all superior recipes, and weapons... So I just started a serious New Game + like that... Again, while I'm still hoping CD Projekt can change something, I'm even going to beat a Level 150 Dettlef if need be, and won't give up of my 600 hour's save yet.

p.s. That also doesn't mean I will let the problem aside, and I won't ask CD Projekt about that anymore. For now, I want to see the next patch, and how they will handle the things - there is still many other annoying bugs, over the game.

There doesn't seem to be much point in playing on when your NG+ got corrupted. I have stopped my new NG playthrough and mybe I start a new one in a couple of weeks, but the old one seems broken.

I'm curious to see what happens.

I just hit Level 92 on finishing Scenes from a Marriage, which means the level progression in NG+ is still the same as it was in the base game. In which I went up 15 levels in B&W.

Pretty sure I'm going to hit that limit...

@BMW37007 - the "new update" was to address one specific problem on PS4. Any fix for this, if there is even one planned, won't be until the next general patch at the earliest. So far, there still hasn't been any acknowledgement that there's a bug.

really ? no reports? if here is not spoken about anything other than what the level. I get a snapshot of the missions only Velen and tell me if there is a problem. I took 3 weeks without being able to play because wolves kill you at once. I still say that the solution is to put the cap on the level 100 in NG + . since getting reinforcements remain grandmaster level 70 I think. and when you go 100 no longer useless. So, hit Level 100 from my Absolutely Ordinary NG+ Level 53 start. I hit it at the end of La Cage Au Fou, so there's a big chunk of game to go.

Confirmed that Equipment showing as higher than Level 100 is still wearable. After crafting something showing as Level 101, it became Level 98.
The Tufo Monster showed as a recommended level of 101, but that's pretty meaningless anyway when you're no longer getting XP. The "Monster" was easier than those damned Level 100 kikimores you meet on the way. All contract/sidequest enemies have been OK, and it's too soon to know if the main quest enemies are going to be a problem (I'm a bit nervous about late-game bruxae).

So... two problems to date. You DEFINITELY hit the level cap well before finishing NG+, even if you're playing absolutely 100% "As Intended". And the crafting screen is totally unreliable for seeing the level requirements.

I've reported both the Crafting screen error and the fact that the level cap is hit before the end.

may you that monster you off easy but my one wolf kill me at once and I'm in Velen, what worries me is not the level of the diagrams , I worry about the level of enemies, before B & W NG + was like if you began in the 40-50-60 level , were always fixed levels of aLL, when I get B & W is a broken NG + , now if you start 40 that is the level for the start of all, they must return the wide fixed as it was before and so avoid these problems , if you want more evidence of what happens , go to the communities of PS4 or transmissions and see that there are many people with this problem and not limited to the 100 level is any level I want to know if they are going to take steps to correct this and leave it as before B & W or leave it like that? already so if I sell the game or I do. Greetings.

Thanks everyone for input here and providing more details. We are currently working on solutions for mentioned problems, however we have no dates to share yet. If you encountered any problems with your playthrough in New Game Plus, please share your save files with us via http://en.cdprojektred.com/contact-support/ - we will investigate.
