Night City Wire returns!

Maybe we will have something even coolor, like New game++ !
It's just my opinion, but I would take this answer with a grain of salt :)
- Either there is NG+ and they "lied" a little to keep the surprise for the stream.
- Either there will be some sort of cosmetic add to the character creator to choose the look of your arms even without cyberware installed.
- Either there is "nothing" of that, and it's a really "dumb mistake" to include V with gorilla arms in the intro when it's normally impossible in the base game...
But I personally have a hard time to believe to a mistake...

Just one more possibility.... NG+ is a feature.... It's just not a "Cool New Thing" they're excited to show, they'll be like "Hey here are all these cool new things and features and content, oh and also NG+".

All guesses aside, whatever that scene is about I just hope it's something cool and not just an "oops didn't mean to put that there in the trailer" moment. Like as long as it's something, anything cool, I'll be happy... If it's not NG+ I'm sure many will be disappointed but as long as it's something interesting, I'll be happy.

And this thought just popped into my head when typing.... New Life Path???? Probably not. BUT if it's not NG+ than what could it be?

It's also important to note they didn't say NG+ isn't coming. Just that they wouldn't show it. Do we really need a deep dive into NG+? It's always the same thing after all.

The whole "remain calm, don't assume anything until CDPR has said anything" thing I've been pestering people about goes both ways.

EDIT: Awww ninja'd by @DjSpyder by a second.

Let's wait without having fetched expectations. However, I think they will implement NG+, add new clothes (and please more corporate clothes, I don't want my V dressed like a madwoman; I hope the devs have observed throughout this hiatus what modders have done), some new cybernetics and weapons. Maybe they will add 4 new quests. As for cutscenes and much more in-depth body customization to be added, right there we are facing a "new" game.

Hype dies last. :smart:

I mean, even by watching and following the trailers/showcases from before release of the game, how did people come up with the Drinking/smoking/eating animations, clubbing, Opening every single door and stuff like that in the game? TW3 didn't have the same level of "World Interaction" that some of these people expected in Cyberpunk, but we had no problems with it.

Next-gen open world game seems to be go-to response. And these are some of the more "sane" expectations, mind you.
Up until game's release there were people (mostly on reddit and youtube) saying that they're planning to play as a cop, bartender, corpo lawyer, teacher, joytoy, janitor, bus driver, etc...o_O

Well, Keanu said it right here:
well, he most certainly did,.. right, I wanted to play as a porno toaster, and then I find out you can't even buy any bread, ffs, what sort of mickey mouse operation is cdpr running. How can you not buy something as simple as a slice of bread. Just laziness. Everything is ruined

I am so looking forward to tomorrow, I just want more stuff tbh and something similar in scope to 1.5 would be more than enough

I think people like to guess and speculate but sometimes forget while it's fun to hope for things or guess or look for clues... NOTHING is confirmed or promised until it comes straight from the Devs. Even things that are teased, you can look at as something that has been hinted towards and seems likely maybe even see it as a sort of "soft confirmation"(I'd caution against that) but still should not be taken as promised until it actually is.

Side Note I know you weren't being serious, but the whole "Become whoever you want" thing I think was still sort of in the context of being a legendary Merc, more about how you choose to do it and mod yourself. People see those quotes and run wild with it, but then don't pay attention to the gameplay reveals and game details and deep dives that outline things much more clearly than a soundbite from a trailer could but latch onto that one quote like it was a broken promise.

Either way, nothing wrong with a little hype and excitement and speculation, as long as you take it all with a grain of salt and don't expect too much from a free update, and if it beats your expectations even better.

Absolutely. Just to be clear, we were doing it all the time here in TW3 days. Speculating about game's future used to be fun activity even if/when a lot of predictions turned out to be wrong.
Disappointment wasn't that uncommon (*cough* Iorveth *cough* Saskia) , but everybody knew that:
1) speculations =/= confirmed features
2) unfulfilled hopes =/= broken promises
There was none of this (seemingly) perpetual hype-hate cycle.

I would say nothing is confirmed until you can play it in the game itself.
After all, promises are nothing, but empty words, unless they are being followed by action.

I think the forum was also created for this. To speculate, propose, give our vision, share our experience in the game and our ideas. We are the customers and players on whom your future depends.

CDPR will speak tomorrow and I'd love to see Miles give us some updates. One of the development problems was the lack of time. They have been advancing on the game for a year and a half with small steps of new content and a lot of bug fixes (no doubt a delicate situation that has shaken the foundations of CDPR).

I am not crazy if I think that the time to show what else we can expect from Cyberpunk 2077 is not infinite and the time is coming to know how far they will go with this first Cyberpunk 2077. If the game will only have some small changes from how it was on 10 December 2020 or if the changes are interesting enough to bring the gaming community back to Night City.

Tomorrow we will draw some conclusions, good improvement steps have been taken in each patch but for those of us who have already played all the missions, there is no interest in returning if they add cosmetics and little else.

"Show you" - they may not show it while it will be in the patch ;)

Still I doubt NG+ will be some groundbreaking new experience, especially when you will have your build ready to go from start. It could be if they changed A LOT with perks, combat and hacking breaking existing OP builds and giving blank slate to some extent.

If there is NG+ I hope they changed/shortened some of the early Johnny scenes. Like you wake up at Victors and he asks "again?" or something like that ;)

Fair enough, but usually if the Devs show it in a video it's safe to say it's confirmed and in the game. It doesn't always work that way, so you definitely have a point, we've seen "Confirmed Planned" features scrapped, even working ones removed, and sure that usually that comes with notice up front and an explanation but not always. This is kind of an industry wide issue right now, they oversell and underdeliver then patch things in as they go, hell every game has a day 1 patch now so they know they can usually get away with shipping it a little "Broken" or "unfinished" as long as the patch its out day 1. We've seen some extreme examples of this the past 2 years and it going very badly, CP2077, BF2042 being the two biggest but not the only ones.

Still on the topic of managed expectations, IF the Devs say it's there it's safe to assume it is, especially for this stream as the patch will probably launch the same day or close to it.
