Wal-mart is the big reason AO games are avoided at all costs, yes. I work in the film indutry, and it's similar there with censorship as with video games. Basically, Wal-mart sells more entertainment in America than most other companies combined, particularly with video games. 40% of all games sold across every store in America are sold at Wal-mart. So literally millions in daily expectant profit. If Wal-mart will not carry your product, you are effectively sacrificing almost half of your possible market. Meaning the sad choice developers get is make it suitable for wal-mart, or have your publisher abandon you.

There some in the same page. And the Triss cap. Minor ones (IMO) anyway :)

Based on the pictures that circulate on the net, with full nudity (anyone seen that pic of Triss slipping out of the bed, or the sex scene with the prostitute)... well I have hard time believing they will release the game uncensored. I am wondering how they'll avoid a AO rating in the US. It's going to be very, very close.

They already announced earlier this month that there will be no censorship worldwide. The ESRB gave TW2 the rating of M and not AO :)

Its seeing the screens and then comparing it to how the ESRB usually handle things thats a bit off.The last game I can think of that got censored for sex in the USA was Heavy Rain, and that wasn't so long ago.I think they left nudity alone, but a sex scene was cut.So I can see three scenarios.1. ESRB has become more open minded with the Mature rating vs Adults only rating, and let the Witcher 2 slide by.2. no character is really humping on screen in game, and going by games that has passed since the Witcher 1 came out, nudity and sexual affection by itself doesn't warrant an AO rating. 3. CDPR has tweaked the game since the Press build and tones down any actual sex if there ever were any to begin with. Leaving nudity and sexual affection. They can say the game is uncensored since no finished product have those scenes.its all speculation of course :)

just a question, i was looking to know what makes a game M or AO and i found this:"Titles in this category ( M ) may contain more blood and gore and some games may contain sexual themes/content (which is censored)", it does not conflict with what was said? or maybe this is wrong or out dated?

I suppose that each agency has its standards; regarding ESRB, you can have a look in this page:http://www.esrb.org/ratings/ratings_guide.jsp
